We all know about his upside. I would get him asap.
You can't find that kind of an upside after the start of the season.
Can play both 3 and 4. Not to mention he is already way better than Chris Johnson and even Ingles.

Thoughts?

By the way, don't think of him as a replacement for lyles or something. He must be desperate for an nba contract.

He was good when they gave a chance to him in OKC.

so here is a little lesson in life for all of us. If you are the superstar you can have attitude issues, be eccentric, be late, be a jerk. The organization will accommodate you because you perform when the pressure is on.

If you are average Joe, you can't have attitude issues, be eccentric, be late, nor be a jerk. The organization will get rid of you because there are 10 other guys who can do your job.

He was a first round draft pick but was picked behind Fab Melo and Jared Cunningham.

Perry Jones no longer has high upside or mega potential. He is another in the long list of guys who has great physical attributes who failed due to poor work ethic, poor attitude, or just not having the right kind of motor. He's been given ample opportunities and had chances to learn from superstars. He needs to go to the D League or Europe for a couple years and re-evaluate his life and decide how much he wants it. Giving him another NBA check and chance would only give him more reasons to slack off.

Or he just isnt that good at basketball.

Didn't Perry have a degenerative knee condition too? something with his meniscus(iirc same **** as Sulligner)? He obviously got red-flagged that draft. He fell almost as far as Kevon Looney did this year.

His shooting never improved.. I think that's kind of a bad sign.. I guess he's best suited as a multi-positional defender.. Do the Jazz really need that??? They need offense..
