Perry Jones no longer has high upside or mega potential. He is another in the long list of guys who has great physical attributes who failed due to poor work ethic, poor attitude, or just not having the right kind of motor. He's been given ample opportunities and had chances to learn from superstars. He needs to go to the D League or Europe for a couple years and re-evaluate his life and decide how much he wants it. Giving him another NBA check and chance would only give him more reasons to slack off.
Where has he gotten "ample opportunities" exactly? He came into the league injuried which was why he dropped so low in the draft. Then he had to play behind two top 30 players in Durant and Ibaka. He was traded to Boston who has a plethora of front court players. He came into camp nicked up then had a family issue that took him out of camp. Plus this is just his 4th season.
