Great trade idea

We should make a trade for Terry Rozier.

Boston has two point guards already. I know they like him, but we could get him for less now than he would cost later. People thought they reached a bit, but it was good pick. We should have taken him instead of Lyles. I'd trade them Lyles and Burke right now if they'd take it.

Terry Rozier looks like he's gonna be pretty good. He's athletic, plays defense, can shoot. Still young. Has a lot of upside. I think he can contribute right away too. He would for sure be our immediate starter right now.

What's your thoughts on this. Do you like the idea?

You missed Lyles' beautiful drive n dish in game one.

The two things Boston really doesn't need more of: PG's and PF's

What does Hack propose we trade them: PG's and PF's.

It's not about what we are trading them. Offer them our lousy first round picks then. Just get Rozier before people find out he's gonna be good.

Pretty sure they'll take as many power forwards as they can get anyways.

Trading for Cameron Payne is a much better idea IMO..

It all depends on what your trying to accomplish with this move though.. Hack do you foresee Terry Rozier leading the Jazz to the Playoffs???

Payne adds offense where its most needed, he's in no way redundant with Dante (they could play together rather well IMO) - I think he might be the spark plug they'd need at PG to make a legit run - Rozier is not that guy offensively.

Would be cool to have a lefty PG who can shoot, next to Burks and Hayward, it'd be entertaining to watch.. Hood's a lefty shooter too, they'd be great on the same unit..

I like the idea of Payne, but....

You say that if the Jazz were going to trade Lyles, then they would have traded that pick on draft day. Why, then, would OKC trade Payne? Both players are in similar positions within their teams: buried on the depth chart. Also, trading Payne for pick(s) does nothing to help them win THIS YEAR, and they're ALL IN.

In other words, I like the idea of Payne, but I don't see much reality in the notion of acquiring him.

Lyles is too much. I would inquire about Miwaukee's Tyler Ennis and Minny's Tyus Jones, both good college PG's Rozier's age or younger

I like Tyus jones. He's another one I'd like to get. I don't care for Tyler Ennis too much.

How is Lyles too much? Lyles has done exactly nothing and isn't really great at anything. I'm still not sure he's gonna be any good at all.

Unless your dealing with an idiot GM, which Danny Ainge isn't.. There's no way your going to extract the same value from that pick, 4 months after the fact.

Lindsey didn't use a lottery pick on a PF that's 3rd on the depth chart, to then go and panic over the PG position, they've got a plan, they had these scenarios covered since they finalized their draft board.

Devin Booker was certainly good enough for the Jazz to draft with the pick, at relative low risk and high upside, they preferred Trey though. He could also feasibly play some SF and some C too. They were using him and Booker as the bigs at one point. I like that lineup better than Booker and Pleiss.. Trey is very skilled in faceup, makes great passes, he's shown enough flashes IMO in SL and Preseason..

He's got Greg Monroe type of skills plus some, once his jumpers on point, he'll be very dangerous with the ball..

Let's just be honest. It was a bad pick and we are all desperately hoping he turns out to be decent.

I guarantee he has zero star potential. He's a role player at best. We should have aimed for higher upside.

We all hated the pick for a reason. There is nothing special about him. We'd be a lot better off exploring trades for him. I know that's not going to happen, but neither are any of these other trade ideas. We are all just fantasizing about the Jazz making a trade that will help. I know they won't even think about trading him. But that's just dumb. And in 5 years it will be proven to be the case.

OKC would hang up the phone. And laugh about it, all accounts I've read/heard are they LOVE him.

Lefties(~6%) are even less prevalent in the NBA than the average population(12%).. If it wasn't for D'Angelo Russell I'd say Cameron Payne is the best lefty PG prospect drafted since Brandon Jennings, who had an illustrious HS career.. In limited footage (I watched a few of his games last year down the stretch) I concluded Payne was a lottery pick, and he ended up in the top-10 in my board. Over Justise Winslow IIRC..

I do think it's an interesting move if a Playoff push is to be made. His shot is $$$ some say its flat but if you look at his shooting the ball goes in the hoop, the say way, alot, and he gets/takes good looks, he's got good instincts.. He'd be very useful here..

These deals are dumb. If we trade for a point guard it won't be for a prospect. I could see us trading for an established guy.
