Burke has been great so far this season. I'm ready to admit he might be a good backup PG.

them back-handed compliments are just freaking hilarious right now.

Name 5 back-up PGs playing better so far this season.

This is the best you have? Honestly the stats still favor Dennis because 1) that 3 point % is unsustainable. 2) Schroder's 4.6 APG + 11.4 PPG > Trey's 1.6 APG and 16.8 PPG.

But hopefully Trey keeps up the play as his role coming off the bench suits us well

hahahahahah so your argument is

1) let's ignore one stat
2) lets compare the worst assisting team in the NBA (with essentially zero 3-point shooters) with one of the best (if not the best) assisting team in the NBA

phone home pal. Burke is averaging ****ing 50/50/100 right now. Open your eyes.

Lol if you think Burke's true 3 point average is 52.2%, then you are essentially saying that Burke is the best 3 point shooter in the game today. You are clearly delusional.

The assist numbers are concerning but he has a very specific role on this team now. I do wish he would dish it off more when he gets in trouble under the basket. His percentages will most certainly take a dip, but they are still promising. He's not Steve Nash though.

Unless he IS Steve Nash...

His stats are looking real nice, but the key for me is the eye test. He looks like things have really slowed down for him and he's playing smart and under control. Shot looking smooth too.

I know Dal can be overzealous, but he clearly said "right now".

His assist numbers aren't his fault guys just are missing shots. It happens and if he continues to create open looks those numbers will even itself out. Another problem with not playing with floor spacers is that when he drives there isn't a lot of space to drop it off to bits for easy dunks.
