What's new

Get to see if Coach Snyder can coach offense now....

Pretty neat that Utah's offensive efficiency went from dead last pre-Quin to above league average even with Quin neglecting it.

Pretty neat that our assists dropped to nearly dead last. I miss Jazz basketball.

I'm not sure the Jazz without Gobert are still a playoff team in the west. Gobert's presence just changes the game on both ends.

I don't know if we are, either. To have a chance Burke and Booker would need to step up. I think Burks is going to continue his awesomeness and if Hood can play better we would probably be in (if everything listed previously happens).

We need some PG-depth - hoping we can draft Dunn for next season and we can upgrade the backup SF position as well.

Jazz desperately need consistent play from the PG position. Trey was great in the first half Thursday and terrible in the second. Neto was awful except for the 4-pt play.

This is the first season in nearly 15 years that I won't care if I see every game. It is just boring to watch.

Although Trey Burke is hurting the team less this year, since his usage is down and he's simply trying to do less, his ceiling as a player is still very low. The Jazz don't really have a starting-caliber PG on the roster.

Now with Gobert out, the Jazz no longer have a starting-caliber PF (if Favors slides to the 5) or starting-caliber center (if we play Withey at the 5).

They have three starting caliber wings though.
They should start all three.... Whether that means favors, hayward, hood, burks, point guard.... Or, whithey, favors, hayward, hood, burks.

Should make us a little better anyway to play our best guys the most minutes and have them get chemistry together

I think I would start Lyles at PF with Favors at the 5 and play a little more up-tempo. Then go with the triple-wing with the first or second substitution. The mandate would be for Hayward, Hood, and Burks to each take 4 or 5 3s per game.
