NBA admitted they made the wrong call on Harden/Withey foul

As per the report below:

what's even worse is the missed foul before inbounding the ball. That would have been 2 free throws and possession...

The NBA should really re-look at this whole process TBH. It means nothing to the losing team to have this report but no repercussion.

I think teams should have at least 1 "Challenge" per game where they can have the call or non-call in crucial moments or possession in the game "reviewed" by the replay centre, ala the NFL.

They already have the resources to do it (i.e., the Replay Centre in Secaucus NJ), having only 1 challenge per game means it won't take up too much time neither, but overall it would make for a much fairer game and a just outcome.

I guess I'll never know what's in the report because I only use my super vision for good. It's a matter of principle.

That was way worse. The thing is, the missed foul on Withey didnt really change the game that much in the end, we still had a chance to tie it with Hosuton getting the last shot, just like what would have happened if Withey went to the FT line. Actually, we ended up in a better situation. Hood making 3 FT's in a row, Rockets with enough time to get the ball up the floor and take a rushed shot and no timeouts. If Withey had made both, they would have 24 seconds and a timeout. Who do we trust more, Withey making 2 or Hood making 3? I'd go with Hood.

Also, Burke trying to advance the ball before calling a timeout ****ed us hard. We had to burn another TO to advance the ball after calling the first one. Small error that cost us big.

How could you challenge the Withey foul on a live play without ruining game flow?

And why did the live game stop to let Howard out of the game after he missed a FT?

Yipee... It is pretty stupid that they do this. Admit they were wrong, and have zero repercussions.

I get so sick of watching the star treatment every game. I get that I am a Jazz fan so I am biased but it feels like the Jazz get screwed so often it's not even funny. You'd think that Hayward would at least get some calls at home especially, but it hardly ever seems to be the case. I get why no one on the team complains about the officiating, but why can't the media call the league out over the treatment of our players. Even if it were completely bias it wouldn't hurt to say Hayward is our star he deserves the same respect as these other cry babies.

You may already know this but they do that for integrity reasons so there's no foul play going on with the officials

I'm sure there were other complaints from people in a more influential position. But I did send an email this morning to Mike Bantom the head of NBA official, noting the time of the Withey foul. I didn't mention the foul on the inbounds play, which I didn't realize was so crucial, but I did recall it because Harpring pointed it out immediately. I also complained about the way fouls are called regarding Harden and that they should reevaluate it.

I'd much, much rather have some effort to show integrity and transparency than anything less. Sorry it's not perfect?
