For a FO that had the philosophy of drafting big players for their positions (that was one thing KOC cited in drafting Hayward), it was insanity to draft a midget PG. Yes, there are small PG's like CP3, but Burke was NEVER going to be a Chris Paul-type player. Lindsey can place the blame on Corbin all he wants, but the buck stops at Lindsey's desk. The real failure was in the front office boxing themselves into a corner by not having any PG options on the roster at draft time, having already decided to let Mo Williams go. What a joke with Watson, Tinsley and then JLIII. The worst PG's in the league all employed by the Jazz. They HAD to draft a PG.
I'm not so upset with drafting Burke over McCollum. I'm more upset Utah had to give up assets to trade up for a PG instead of being able to take BPA.Then again, if it really was Corbin/KOC wanting Trey against DL's advice, that just cemented DL taking the reins and having the ammunition to later fire Ty.
