If this has been discussed sorry, but I was talking to my brother, and he said he heard On 1320 that the jazz owe Philly this years first rounder, but I thought if we make the playoffs we had to give the pick to Min.

I think my brother said he was listening to Locke, who said the jazz could lose every game the rest of the way and we still wouldn't get to use are pick. Becaues it goes to Philly

They may have been referring to last year's draft. Minnesota had our pick in the 2010 draft (#23), which they got from Philadelphia, who got it from us as part of the Kyle Korver-Gordan Giricek trade. They used it to pick Trevor Booker who they then traded to Washington.

We still owe Minny a pick as a result of the Jefferson trade, but it has protection (top-16 in 2011, top-14in 2012, top-12 in 2013, top-9 protected from right to swap in 2014, else 2014 second-round pick).

We don't owe Philly anything at the moment.
