He's was playing like a superstar last year. He's not having as good of a year. He was legitimately one of the best defenders last year.

I believe in Gobert. He'll find some rhythm again.

Part of the problem is that the team still isn't trying to get Gobert involved in the offense. Which is a mistake I think. Maybe it's because we don't have good enough point guard play.

People forget how amazing Gobert looked after Kanter's trade. Simply amazing. JFC was going crazy with comparisons to all time greats. He had halves where he went something like 12/15/4. His energy was through the roof. He went after every play. To me, he doesn't even compare this year. He's still a good defender and all, but last year, most on here felt it was a travesty that he hadn't won defensive player of the year. How quickly people forget.

Ya, he's flawed offensively. But he's still young. He's gotta learn sometime. At least we have to hope he can. I think they should push him to try some things while we still are a team "taking steps". It's just always gonna make the offense sputter if they dont. And he may not ever be great offensively, but he's gotta get to where he's good enough and not such a liability and obstruction on offense.

The longer they wait to work on it. The bigger mistake it is.

you guys kinda took the bait. We have no plays. We play PnR. That's it. But Rudy is a target as a roll-man. But he's pretty easy to defend in that play, so.... yeah. An offensive scheme worth diddly would help him.

You don't develop a shot by just flinging it in a game. He'll get greenlighted for taking shots the very second he starts effectively making them in practice. There are certain things you need to work the kinks out of during a game. Shooting isn't one of them. This is horrendously obvious.

That said, my initial two thoughts on this. Gobert and moreso, Exum, are overrated by this board.
I'd consider trading anyone.

Having said that, keep the core intact, get healthy, get pissed off this summer and work harder than they ever have in their lives, and win 57 games next year.

They were way up. The last two games we waited until well into the fourth to really start putting them up. Twas making me angered. Pass up on open 3, drive into traffic, bad panicked pass. Rinse. Repeat. Oh, and don't rebound either Rudy has that covered apparently.
