I Was At Last Night's Knicks/Jazz Game

Hey, news flash, Carmelo Anthony is a dynamite basketball player.

What is it with you Jazz fans? You can not admit that a player on another team is a talented baller? Wow.

Not when they can't contribute to a winning culture/team.

Yes, thanks, it was a classy post from me.

And, yup, it is good to hear what outsiders see in your players. I offered great insight into your team with my post, while the posters here offered none. It gets very tiresome to hear from fans of a team saying over and over that their team is great, your team sucks. Unfortunately, that is what the majority of the posters on this thread have been doing. Jazz are great, Knicks suck. Boring. Bad show, Jazz fans. Acting like 13 year olds.

great insight lol

Porzingis is nice, horrible shot selection though.....
Are you kidding? That's his best quality! The guy knows exactly when to put it up no matter where he is on the court. Right under the hoop or three feet beyond the three point line, he always seems to take the right shot. I can't wait till he feels a bit more comfortable and starts putting in half court shots. The guy has touch. Not very common in seven footers.

He is undoubtedly a sublime talent. Pity that he's never really grasped that basketball is a team game and is a perennial underachiever.

Another news flash: Basketball is a team game. It isn't boxing, tennis, or golf. 14 guys on the roster. Team sport. You really are only as good as your worst piece or your coaching staff.

I agree. Melo will always prevent your team from having a winning culture.

Why would people hate Hayward?

That's the question. I have no idea why the guy was getting such obscene insults hurled at him. Maybe you Jazz fans can clue me in on somethings I don't know about him. Did he beat his girlfriend in an elevator? I don't know. All I know the poor guy got savaged last night at the Garden and then he calmly stepped up to the free throw line, easily sunk three to send the game to OT and shut the crowd up.

Knick fans have been rooting against Gordon from the beginning of his career because he was drafted with a pick the Knicks traded away. Gordon having any success just adds to the sting of losing that pick.

Most of these post by Jazz fans are nothing but insults against the Knicks. That's just sour grapes. We beat the Jazz last night, it was a top game, why not just be men and take the loss as men? I gave proper respect to Hayward and Hood and Gobert. See anyone here posting good things about our stars last night Melo, Porzingis, Robin Lopez, or our D-Will?

Robin Lopez played the game of his life, 1 game doesn't make up for the fact that they paid too much for him though.

They're lucky the caps rising. Porzingis has been lauded by some on these forums since 2014, there's multiple threads about him -- His jersey being the 4th highest sold in the past few months speaks volumes. what more is there to say at this point?

D-Will was a good signing, in a bang for the buck sense -- is he really built for that NYC lifestyle though?? Getting robbed by 2 heauxs from the meatpacking district, and pictures like this are the baggage that come with D-Will..

The Jazz are easily one of the most injured teams in the league, and one of the youngest, starting 2 rookies and 1 2nd year player.. coming off a game where a 5'11" guard dropped 50+ on them... Was a great game, not worth talking **** over though - The Jazz outplayed the Knicks for the majority of the game, If Hood was featured more in the 4th and OT - The Jazz win that ****.

2 turnovers and an awful shot from Hayward in the opening minutes of OT served that game on a silver platter to the Knicks, NY tried to lose that game a few times, ultimately, the Jazz handed it to them though - after a hell of a fight..

That lifestyle sunk JR Smith. However, I do think that Derrick Williams has a bit more on his shoulders than JR does.

That NY lifestyle is poison to some. In one week last month D-Will got robbed by two hoes and our young guy Cleanthony Early got shot at a seedy strip club. That's why we love Melo. Guy has more money and notoriety than anyone here in New York and he has never been in outrageous situations here. He's a decent dude and becoming a very good team player. He gets it.

Great post. Very informative.

However, I don't know if it is exactly true. Steph Curry got drafted seventh because Warriors were fully aware of our interest in him (we had the eighth pick) and we don't hate Curry over that draft selection.

I've noticed a lot of opposing fans get really angry at Hayward. Maybe the idea of a white, unassuming looking guy balling against their team just doesn't sit well with them.

Really don't want to say it, but race probably does play a role in it. Let's be honest, Steph Curry is not in with the league's in crowd (*** hole NBA players had their own MVP vote and voted James Harden) because of the white in Curry's blood.

J.R. Smith wasn't molded by that lifestyle, that's one of the ways they PR'd it when they traded him -- he was always like that, and he's always been talented enough to get away with it..

I wanna point out 'your' young guy Cleanthony is the same age as the average Jazz player. He's actually a few months older than Derrick Favors(a 5 year vet)..

I kinda agree with ya that the Knicks players are better pound-for-pound though. Willis Reed and Bernard King are underrated players in these types of conversations, usually. Championships do mean a lot and the Knicks won 2, let Utah somehow take down a chip in the next handful of years and it will be MUCH, much closer.

"JazzKilla" would have been a cooler username...

MelloTheJazzKilla

This character is obviously a Jazz fan pretending to be a Knicks fan.

I still haven't met a Knicks fan who can hold a candle next to me on Knicks topics in the several years I've been a Jazz fan So I'll entertain this for a bit. Even with Godzingus their outlook is grim compared to Utah's..

The reality is; The Knicks and Jazz will lose like 27 other teams, it'll be sad, tears will be shed, Drake songs will be played from arena to arena - Utah will have a lottery pick to show for it, and the Knicks will have Houston's 2nd round pick to show for it. So laugh it up now.
