The players didn't like him. He did the most bizarre rotations I've ever seen. I've followed it pretty closely. He had to go. He is not cutout to be a head coach. He gets too angry at the players. Won't let them find any consistency. Doesn't know how to use them right. Doesn't know who his best players are. He made it a cluster **** there, and deserved the firing.

Dragic talked about the reason he wanted out.
Dragic has lost trust in the Suns organization because they have brought in two other point guards, Eric Bledsoe and Isaiah Thomas, and reduced his playmaking role since he returned to Phoenix during free agency in 2012 to be Steve Nash's heir apparent. "I don't trust them anymore," Dragic said following Wednesday's practice session. "It happens too many times. Two, three times."They give promises, OK. It's hard. But at the same time, I wish them all the best.

Had nothing to do with Hornacek.

Morris is pissed at the organization and has played half-*** all season. As the coach, Horny has had to try to discipline him. And Markief was betrayed by the GM, not Hornacek, He and his brother signed twin contracts (at a discount) to stay together. The GM lied to them.

Yes, I will agree Hornacek has tried a lot of rotations - some of them weird. But nothing has worked, so you try to find ANYTHING that might, Heck, even Quin tried Lyles at the 5 and went to a 3-wing lineup to try to get Utah winning.

Refine your Google search. I know Dragic said something about not liking the offense, and Hornacek also responding. Don't make me find it for you. I'll let you fix your own statement and findings so I don't look like a dick.

So you left out the direct quote from Dragic. He said he was upset about them bringing in Bledsoe and then Thomas. He didn't like his offball, spot-up role. Is that being upset with the offense? Sure. But it's a result of the GM bringing in other PG's and forcing Hornacek to then use Dragic in that role (since neither Thomas nor Bledsoe were suited to play off the ball). Those are good points. But how do we know Hornacek didn't have something to do with bringing in Thomas? Maybe he was like, I'm Hornacek, I'm a mastermind genius, I'm gonna use three points guards now, since two worked good.. hehehehe..

Could be. Dragic wants to be a traditional PG who directs the offense. He did that in Phoenix before they traded for Bledsoe and Thomas. It's his own fault for signing the big deal in Miami. He knew Wade was the primary ballhandler.

A brand new coach having GM powers? I doubt it. Now if it were Popovich, SVG or Jackson, then yes, the coach would definitely be wagging the GM.

I have a Suns ticket package so I go to these things pretty regularly (10 games so far this season). Hornacek is not a bad coach. Just about everything that could go wrong there this season has gone wrong. It is very apparent that the team has internalized the idea that they are bad and they kept finding ways to lose. Eric Bledsoe got hurt, Chandler had some injury issues, then Brandon Knight got hurt. Markieff got cheesed and severely half-assed it. Next thing you know, you're relying a lot on a 19 year old rookie (who is good, but still 19), Archie Goodwin, and the concession vendor who yells "cotton candy" like he's never seen it before.

That said, Hornacek clearly wasn't able to just make anything work and didn't adapt as well as he could have on the fly. I'm not sure what coach would have gotten the current team to play winning basketball, but it clearly wasn't him. He tried a lot of things, but ultimately there isn't any combination of players on that squad that could consistently win games.

Hornacek has been very good at developing players that are young and nurturing them along. Virtually no one has come through Phoenix and felt like they wasted potential. That might make him assistant/development coach material, but it means he definitely has a place in the league.

It's called input. As a coach you give input to the players that are sought after. It's no uncommon.

I would say something about how Hack brings down the statistical averages of intelligence, wit, charm, etc. around here, but he's truly a statistical outlier. Idiocy like his has to be written off as a weird genetic bankruptcy.

Yes, input. But you implied he might have been the one responsible for bringing aboard Bledsoe or Thomas in a 3PG system. Kind of like Corbin/Burke. Ty may very well have really liked Burke, but he surely wasn't the final or authoritative voice. That call would have come down from KOC or DL. Probably KOC since DL did his best to distance himself from the pick right away by saying Burke was "Ty's choice."

Let's just completely ignore the fact that the Suns were garbage. That doesn't matter, does it? Surely since Jeff Hornacek played for the Jazz, he has to be good at coaching, right? There's no other possible answers here. This couldn't possibly be that he isn't good at coaching.

Let's also ignore the fact that I predicted this happening. That was just pure coincidence huh? Had nothing to do with he wasn't coaching right, and I could see that.
