Bulls @ Jazz game thread; Rudy's revenge vs Pau

From the bulls boards:

"They are airing the Jazz broadcast in the league pass. Harpring looks like a competent guy as their analyst."

"Utah is starting Gobert and Hood. Two guys we passed up for Snell and Doug.
Don't get why people don't bring up Gobert when we talk about guys we took Snell over. Usually you hear about Dieng, Hardaway, Plumlee -- in hindsight, Gobert would have clearly been the right choice."

"Jazz bigs are going to feast in the paint on us. They are just too long and athletic."

"I like Gordon Hayward, but he sure has one hell of a punchable face."

"The thought of passing up Gobert for Snell is just depressing. :nonono:"

"Wow, Neto has got a really great touch around the rim. Beautiful to watch him put a spin on the ball and use the backboard."

"Trey Burke is someone I'd hate to be on my team. He is so crap."

"Favors is too big and strong for the Bulls"

"Snell for Nedo?"

"Utah is going to be a good team in the next year or so if they can keep Gobert-Favors-Hayward-Hood together"

"I wish we had Hayward."

"Hayward would look good in a Bulls' uniform."

"I could not stand looking at that stupid haircut all season."

"The entire team is terrified of Gobert at the rim."

More Bull ****:

"This Jazz crew is good. The analyst knows the Bulls roster quite well."
"I agree. I think it's Matt Harpring."
"Indeed it's him. Very insightful."

"We drafted Snell over Gobert. brutal"

"We traded two first rounders for the privilege of drafting McDermott over Rodney Hood.
Even more brutal, imo."

"But pretty much the entire NBA drafted a lesser talent over Gobert."

"Trey Burke: you have problems when Kirk Hinrich goes coast to coast on you."

"the jazz have 4 blocked shots. all have been derrick on derrick (favors on rose)"

"If we cant beat the Jazz, its really time to start calling for someone's head."

"Gobert is such a game changer defensively."

"Derrick scared of Gobert."

"We can't make anything inside with Gobert in there."

"Gobert completely intimidated Pau there."

"I'm loving Harpring. Tells it like it is"

"Gobert is in everyone's head right now. Pau especially hearing footsteps."

"utah's fans are great...only game in town, of course"

"who in the blue hell is this Neto guy?"

Haha.. whenever we feel down about the Jazz it's good to read these posts. We don't know how good we have it sometimes.

I give thanks to Derrick Rose for this win. Butler was balling until Rose decided he had to be the man. Results, Butler gets fewer touches, loses rhythm and gets taken out of the game.

It's amazing and sad to see how bad Rose has become. Were I the Bulls' FO, among top priorities for next year is getting rid of Rose for whatever we can get out of him. It's akin to Trey Burke deciding he's the man and deciding it's up to him to win games for the team. Rose is almost that bad now.

If Rose is open to it, I think he would thrive in a sixth man role. He's just not got "it" anymore.

Butler was gassed, Gasol was gassed - they get almost zero help from the bench.

I give The Bulls a lot of credit for hanging in as long as they did.

When Matt Harpring isnt going overboard with the cornball factor he can be a very good analyst.

Have you seen his shooting numbers? The dude is down as far as being a good player. He hasnt developed a reliable jump shot. I dont think he would fair much better off the bench. He would probably just shoot more off the bench. If they actually had a talented backup PG, like a Schroeder, it'd be interesting to see if Hoiberg would have the balls to bench his 20,000,000 dollar PG. It's hilarious how screwed they are from that contract.

*Gobert gets fouled in OT

Harpring: "Jazz sending a good free throw shooter to the line here."

Bolerjack: *Stunned silence.

he's definitely on the over-done side of cooked. I loved seeing Neto get the best of him on several occasions

Really awesome to pull out this win after being down by 3 late. Digging up TOs like that is scrappy, winning basketball.

Play of the game was Chris Johnsons offensive rebound after a big missed FT from Hayward. That 50/50 ball was a true momentum changer.

By far Neto's best game too. He's responded like a pro, not a rookie the last 2 games, after that 0-7 vs Charlotte

Watching Rose get frustrated was sad. He knew he was getting cooked by a 2nd round pick who 90% of NBA fans arent even aware of. He couldn't answer back to Raul Neto even though he so badly wanted to. The bow at half-court was pathetic because he so badly wanted that spotlight again, to be the man.

*Edit* I mean, if he stays completely healthy this year, there is a chance he regains something next year when he is finally use to the limitations of his new body, but I wouldn't hold my breath.

I was beyond impressed with Gordon last night. It was a team victory but his grit fighting through bad shooting and butler going full flame thrower late was great. His defense was really good. No bad body language either.

Hood is growing tremendously too. Impressive Jazz!

Best game for Gordon that I've probably seen (only watched the second half and OT). Stepped up big and the team now had their first winning streak of the season. Nice accomplishment. The finish after the Ingles pass was beastly. Loved it. And Neto climbed over the rookie wall in a huge way last night. We shouldn't give up on him so soon.
