What's new

Reggie Jackson's year

As Exum is the one and only reward for tanking, you bet your *** I'm interested in giving him every opportunity (and incentive) to succeed within reason.

Exum was a 19 year old rookie. Jackson is 25. When Jakcson was a 21 yr. old rookie he averaged 3 PPG on 32% shooting. And yes, I think Exum will be great. Guilty as charged.

Then why would Exum have started over Jackson, assuming the Jazz would have gotten him? It will be a miracle if Exum is ever as good as Jackson is now.

Exum, and his 5.7 PER? The beer goggles you people have for this guy must be a mile thick. Exum has done nothing in the NBA, or elsewhere for that matter. Reggie is putting up a 21.7 PER this season. He is playing like a top-30 player in the NBA. Dante's numbers resemble a mediocre DLeaguer.

I wouldn't go as far to say Jackson is playing like a top 30 player. However the love for Exum here is completely unfounded. I don't know if I've seen a player that has done so little get some much love.

Bump.

With all the talk of trading assets for a 5th tier point guard on a short contract...

REggie Jackson is having a better year than Teague.

Yeah it seemed at the time that we would trade Kanter and possibly Burke for Jackson. I wish I knew what happened with that trade.

I understand every reason DL didn't take in Reggie. I just want to bitch about the Jazz being treadmill dickwads at every step of this so-called rebuild.

This will fail, and it's going to cost them all of what little remains of the Stockton-Malone-Sloan equity. Most those fans have become disgusted with the franchise and left.

Still think Exum will improve dramatically on the offensive side next year. His shot looked better than expected as a rookie, but had no confidence. Limited sample size, but he played with confidence in SL and international play. Can daily see him coming back confident and as an improved shooter. When you tear an ACL, one thing you get to work on a lot is your shot. Hopefully he makes the most of it.
