Would You Sign Larry Sanders?

To be a true contender you got to take risk.. Otherwise be happy with at best getting a 8th spot and being bounced in first round, year after year..

No, I wouldn't sign him to a $300 contract to sell popcorn at a single Jazz game. Unreliable, unstable, and really not needed on this Jazz team. Why insert instability into a stable environment?

Small market teams = small margin for error.

I still remember (not so long ago) when there were discussions on Jazzfanz comparing Favors and Sanders. Some thought Sanders was better...LOL.

The team is in ****ing Utah. We should take advantage of being the team where a guy has the least access/temptation to nightlife to sign guys who have problems like this, as long as they are trying to fix themselves.

If we're talking for minimum I think I would. Cut him if it doesn't work out, no biggie, will certainly bring more than Tibor can at this point.

There is smart risk and then there is Larry Sanders. He wants to be a music mogul, not a basketball player.

He wants to make music, there is nothing wrong with that. I'm not saying sign him to be the franchise player. Just give him a small 2 year deal to prove his worth in the NBA and he can bolt for a bigger contract when its up.

Yes. Without Rudy and/or Favors, our interior D takes a huge hit. This is the major strength of our team.

Sign him to a low-risk deal, and if he turns out to be a detriment, cut him.
Withey is a helluva defender.

I think he set records in college and im not sure but I think he averages more blocks per game this year than Gobert and favors per 36
