Jazz VS Dallas Game Thread - WE WON!!!!!!

Plus it's completely different grabbing a ball and shooting from a rack than catch and shoot but this doesn't even matter. Jazz give up one of the worst (or best for the team) percentages from 3. Carlisle is exploiting it.
I would shoot better grabbing a ball from a rack (since it's not moving and I don't even have to catch it) than a ball being passed to me (sometimes coming fast, sometimes slow. Sometimes high, sometimes low)

We also had a hard time getting going in the first. We couldn't even move without refs calling a foul. Got in the bonus early.

That's fine. I was discussing whether players easily shoot 70% from three when they are open... which is what the discussion was about.

If the argument was whether or not guys shoot 52.9% from three when open then I wouldn't have got into the discussion

I still stand by my statement that in practice, yes, they hit about 70-75% of their threes, when they shoot one, the ball boy passes another, and so forth...totally uncontested. That's all I was saying. Maybe that's just for the top half of the league in shooters and not the average of all but still, I think a ton of guys can do that.

Why is Booker playing over Lyles? I can only see the box score right now but what the heck?

I agree with you there

Considering these guys put up hundreds of shots a day from passes and not racks, they probably aren't the same way

I don't think most players would feel this way. They're used to catching a ball coming at them from years of in-game situations. I'm not sure how often they really shoot from a rack, if ever.

Exactly what I was saying as well.
