Let's find all of Hayward's friends

Jeremy Evans was a real buddy to Hayward let bring them all on the roster it might keep Hayward. We are like a desperate franchise not even trying to date the pretties girl. Why settle we are an NBA team not a Dleague team.

Please, suggest a trade Utah COULD have made. Compare it against all the rumors flying around. NO big deals got done, And that's how it goes most trade deadlines. Teams want others to overpay for their assets. Love, Griffin, Howard, Horford, Teague: none of those players were dealt. Hill and Oladipo were only floated in rumors connected to TEAGUE. They weren't on the block for minor assets.

It appears the only two "big" names traded were Tobias Harris and Markief Morris. Yep, Utah missed out on some HUGE opportunities.

Portland did well. They got a 1st and 2nd for essentially spending nothing (they took on salary to get to the floor).

If they are so worried that Hayward won't resign then he could have been packaged with Burke to get Teague, first round pick, and something else.

I guess it is a waiting game. But, think of all the assets we have let go in the past when we were poised to make big moves. I remember holding on to Boozer when we had Milsap then losing him in the offseason. Then we had Milsap that we could have moved if the team was poised to move on with Favors as the PF. The list goes on hopefully Hayward isn't added to this list.

Holy ****!
You want to get a player for 1 1/2 years by trading Hayward? Why not just keep Hayward for 1 1/2 years?
That deal puts Utah in even worse shape. Teague is NOT better than Gordon and there's LESS chance of him staying after next season (due to having Exum on the roster). You and Hinkie should team up.

He would help give Exum a soft landing. It isn't like Exum is going to be ready after one year to take the reigns of this team. Plus, we could have gotten other assets out of them like another first round pick. Also, like I said Hood is already what Hayward is in only his second season. We moved Milsap who is an actual Allstar to make room for Favors. Why wouldn't we do the same for Hood?

Do you not remember Boozer traveling to Chicago and Miami BEFORE his last season with Utah? It was an open violation of league policy for him to do so (i.e. for teams to talk to him since he was still under contract), but the Jazz gave him the ok to assess his trade value. There was ZERO interest. But he didn't leave for "nothing." KOC had been in heavy talks about Al Jefferson at the 2010 trade deadline, but Minny wanted another first, which KOC got by trading Brewer, who wanted too much and wasn't going to re-sign. So by NOT taking on any long-term salary for Boozer, Utah was then able to trade for Jefferson that summer and promote Millsap.

Maybe could have gotten something for Jefferson and Millsap. But having longer-term contracts on the books would then have prevented Utah from doing the GS deal, which was the key part of the rebuilding plan. Yes, Utah runs the risk of losing Hayward after next season. But a team can't just keep trading their top players. That results in a continual lottery situation. Trade Hayward, then trade Favors the year after, then Gobert and Hood, At some point, you have to believe top players - unless they specifically state otherwise - will want to stay...IF you are building a winning team around them.

Because Hood and Hayward play different positions, in case you haven't noticed, Yes, I agree...Teague would have been great to ease Exum in next season. And the Jazz could still make a play for him this summer IF Atlanta loses Horford and is spurred into rebuilding. Or they could pick up a different veteran PG. They still have Trey, still have their firsts. Have to walk away when the price is too high. Otherwise you become the Nets or Knicks, with a few high-priced vets and few other assets,

But, Hayward has indicated that he was ready to leave plus he still is talking about it currently that he will have to look at our team when the time of his FA comes up. Favors has not even talked about being a FA again. He has invested himself into the community. Gobert is going to be the franchise piece maybe with Exum that we will pay out the nose to keep.

Although Hood is playing SG he is the same size as Hayward and can play SF. He is probably more naturally a SF in the league. It is just based on how Snyder is playing them that Hood is our SG.

Can Kevin Durant be Hayward's friend. Wish the Jazz had a guy like Chandler Parsons who want to go out and recruit starts to come to Utah. As long as we're pretending to be stupid, maybe Hayward will make the USA roster and become great buddies with KD over the summer. Then the Jazz might have a chance.
