Howard shot his best % as a rookie, I believe. Favors has a more natural release on his shot and should continue to improve his FT shooting, not the other way around. And yes, we won't see another Dwight Howard for a long, long, time but Favors is about as close as I have seen as far as possessing the same physical tools.

Who did Orlando have?

Saying that Favors isn't good enough to play 32 minutes is completely unfair.

In New Jersey, he had Brooke Lopez in front of him.

In Utah, he has Al Jefferson and Millsap in front of him.

If we didn't have Al, there's no reason to believe that he wouldn't be our starting center playing 30+ minutes.
 
Right now Favors is the Jazz franchise player.
Jazz future as a contender will depend on him.
He has the skills and ability to be a top ten type player.
 
Favors will be a forced to be reckoned with in a few years. Watch. After all, this is the one guy I wanted the Jazz to pickup from this past year's draft. I know all about talent.

I don't know I would put Griffin up against Howard as the top freak of nature physically we have seen in a long time if not ever. But yes, Favors does not have the same athleticism of Howard, although Favors is very very athletic.

I hope he never ever becomes the nicest guy on the court that takes 7 years to show any kind of offensive skill whatsoever.

Dwight Howard is great. He's worth every penny he makes, but let's not talk about him like he's Kareem or Bill Russell. Favors could actually be better by having a more well-rounded game and a more subdued, even-keeled temperament. Of course, he'll probably not be as good, but we're talking about the youngest kid in the league right now and with measurements that rival Dwight's. The sky's the limit as far as I'm concerned.
