The Jazz DLeague team has traded 3 players in the last 24 hours for future DLeague draft picks. The DLeague's top draft selection Jeff Ayres. The Stampede were headed nowhere in the DLeague but this is odd behavior.
Does Lindsey run them too?

Question to homey (as our resident DLeague afficionado/expert):
What good do DLeague draft picks do? Not sure why these trades would happen. A team wanting to add these players to a roster could just call them up.
Looks like there was also a 4th transaction: a trade of Pierre Jackson for the rights to Eric Griffin (who is overseas?). Will the Stampede have enough players to field a team or should I lace them up again? I never announced my retirement so I think I'm still eligible.
And way to judge talent, Dennis. Instead of actual using that #1 pick to bring in a young guy to evaluate and develop, you use it on Jeff Ayres. I know the odds are long on a DLeaguer actually being any kind of contributor in the NBA, but that pick was simply not caring - or paying back a player or agent you had worked with in the past.
Do DLeague teams have a roster minimum? Looks like Idaho is rolling with just 9 after all those trades? Maybe saves them $10-$15K in salary costs for the rest of the season. #JazzAreCheap
It's supposed to be 10 and the teams have a salary cap. The max salary is $26,000 and minimum is $16,000 and they cannot exceed the team cap. It's not exactly living large.
