The Jazz DLeague team has traded 3 players in the last 24 hours for future DLeague draft picks. The DLeague's top draft selection Jeff Ayres. The Stampede were headed nowhere in the DLeague but this is odd behavior.

They bakking cakkes down there too.

Jazz board is now requiring all Jazz employees to work 8-hr days. Lindsey was forced to show his work.

Question to homey (as our resident DLeague afficionado/expert):
What good do DLeague draft picks do? Not sure why these trades would happen. A team wanting to add these players to a roster could just call them up.

Looks like there was also a 4th transaction: a trade of Pierre Jackson for the rights to Eric Griffin (who is overseas?). Will the Stampede have enough players to field a team or should I lace them up again? I never announced my retirement so I think I'm still eligible.

And way to judge talent, Dennis. Instead of actual using that #1 pick to bring in a young guy to evaluate and develop, you use it on Jeff Ayres. I know the odds are long on a DLeaguer actually being any kind of contributor in the NBA, but that pick was simply not caring - or paying back a player or agent you had worked with in the past.

There really is not a lot of incentive to gather DLeague draft picks. One of the guys they sent packing was Jeff Ayres who was the No. 1 pick in the DLeague draft. Unless the plan is to move the team to Salt Lake and make them palatable at the start next year.

Do DLeague teams have a roster minimum? Looks like Idaho is rolling with just 9 after all those trades? Maybe saves them $10-$15K in salary costs for the rest of the season. #JazzAreCheap

It's supposed to be 10 and the teams have a salary cap. The max salary is $26,000 and minimum is $16,000 and they cannot exceed the team cap. It's not exactly living large.

Last night the Stamps beat the Texas Legends. An interesting DNP/CD for the Legends was NBA vet Josh Childress and for the Stamps Jared Cunningham that played for the Cavs this year and played with the Jazz in summer league. Traveon Graham had a 30 points 18 rebound game for the Stamps.

Last night Jared Cunningham had 30 points and 5-8 from 3. He was doing things the Jazz can't seem to so. Make outside shots. Time to waive Ingles or Chris Johnson and let him try.

Traveon Graham had 31 points for the Stamps last night. The DFenders behind Vander Blue's 51 points beat Bakersfield and Terrico White's 34. Graham, Blue and White all played for the Stampede in the last couple of years. White was drafted ahead of Tibor Pleiss.

As a team's first option? Completely different than having to come off the bench and only getting 5 shots a game.
