Following 2016 potential draftees

What's the board consensus on what position we should draft? Or do we go BPA regardless of position?

BPA.
Jazz will/might have an opening at any position.
Booker may leave as a FA, so Utah could draft a PF to replace him. A wing could be an upgrade over CJ or Ingles. Likely won't go PG, but you always look to upgrade. Burke won't be back; Mack has an option year and Neto has been ok, but not outstanding.

I still think DL will look to trade the pick for a productive veteran. There is a ton of youth on the team already and Utah will have 3 first round picks in 2017 (although all of them will likely be in the mid-to-late 20's).

How do y'all feel about Tyler Ulis?

I love him.
He is my second favorite player in this draft. (I know absolutely nothing about college basketball btw)

Someone please explain what the knock on Brogdon is besides his age. He consistently the best player on an elite ACC team over the last few years. Plays both offense and defense. Has a good size for a shooting guard. Can handle the ball some. Has a good jump shot. Moves well without the ball. Very smart player. He's clutch. He's tough. He's a good (not great) athlete. I don't get how he's not a lock for the first round, yet (and maybe I've missed it) but EVERY site I've seen has him in the 2nd.

He doesn't look like starter material, he's a glorified Chris Johnson type of roleplayer imo.. Shooting mechanics aren't the best and for an NBA SG he's kinda rigid.

DX correctly has Patrick McCaw over him in their mock..

His age is a limiting factor too, he's certainly closer to the peak of his abilities then the majority of players in this draft.

I appreciate the response. I dunno about the Chris Johnson comp though. CJ has a tough time shooting. Brogdon was scoring 25 a night against ACC defenses that were keyed to stop him, and he wasn't being a ballhog while doing it. In the NBA, he won't be the first option, but teams won't be able to leave him alone either. I get that he looks like he'd be rigid when he's just standing there, but he doesn't really play that way.

We think that every year and he never does. The reasons being:

-a low lottery pick won't get us a player better than our starters (-Exum, but he is Lindsey's prodigal son)
-8 years is a lot of security for a small market team
-they're dirt cheap
