I'm down with this...Beef or Shrimp flavor or we hang up the phone, no exceptions.Pleiss has one more guaranteed year. Will he contribute at all? Maybe they can trade him for a ramen packet.

Oh, I agree he wasn't handled correctly during that time. Honestly, if during that point Kanter had demanded a trade, I wouldn't have blamed him at all.
My problem with him was how he and his agent both said that they didn't have any problems with Snyder, and cited the Corbin era as part of the reason why he was demanding a trade. Odd to demand a trade when the problem was long gone. The truth was that he didn't like his minutes being reduced because he couldn't play defense. So now he's on a team where his minutes are even further reduced because he can't play defense. Funny how that worked.
Our bench was 25th in the league, scoring 32.2 per game. The Pistons bench was the worst scoring just 25.9.

The difference is the Pistons bench was bad because their starters do all the scoring and play tons of minutes, and bout an eighth of their salary cap is still going to Josh Smith..
While the Jazz bench was bad because they set it up that way on purpose..
Disagree with the Jazz setting up their bench to be bad on purpose. They certainly could've improved it after the Exum injury as the PG position was clearly going to be a major weakness but prior to the injuries, the team appeared to have the makings of an at least average bench.
-Neto was a question mark but there was reason to believe that Burke would carry over his improved play off of the bench from last season
-Burks was expected to be the team's sixth man & instant offense, it was also believed that E.Millsap could continue to provide solid defense
-SF was somewhat of a question mark but Ingles finished the season strong & Johnson had shown some potential, also Hood was expected to get minutes at the 3 with Burks at the 2
-Lyles was a major question mark coming into his rookie season but Booker was coming off of a very solid 1st year with the Jazz, it was also expected that Hayward/Ingles could see some time at the 4 in small ball lineups.
-Whithey was another question mark but with Favors capable of playing the 5, it was less of a concern
The bench was by no means projected to be great but I don't see how it was intentionally constructed to be bad. Our lack of depth/good bench play has been a product of injuries.
Last night in the DLeague playoffs our second round draft pick a couple of years ago had 18 points 11 boards and Quinn Cooks 25 points 10 dimes. Would they improve the Jazz bench?
Good point. This is an empty stat though because of the the teams pace of play. Utah is 28th in points per game.
The thing is, there were servicable, cheap players to be had.. Jeremy Lin went for 2 mil, Bazemore too, Gerald green for little over 1 mil provided 9ppg in an off year.. Thats less then what the Jazz spent on Ingles Neto and Pleiss.
I always thought the faith was misplaced in Millsap and it certainly proved to be.. he was given the benefit of the doubt because of his name. I used to say Chris Johnson was better.
They also took Olivier Hanlan over Norman Powell in the 2nd round. Powell's started 23 games for the #2 seed Raptors, he's shot 37% and he's an outstanding athlete and defender..
'Little' moves like this IMO added up to be the difference between making and missing the playoffs, given how the injuries played out.
