Does Kanter show Jazz made mistake in these playoffs ......

On a Jazz team that lacked offense,Kanter finished 4th in FG % in the NBA and generally wrecked havoc on the offensive boards during his 21 minutes of play.If you compare him to Favors stats this year ,he probably was more productive in less minutes .
There was talk of Kanter ,Favors, and Gobert having enough minutes to play 32 minutes a piece.

Well I know lots of fanz are hoping he does lousy ,but if he kicks a$$ then Jazz management looks like they blew it with him and gave him to OKC for nothing.

He's playing good for OKC. He wasn't giving 100% for the Jazz. How do you fix that? He didn't want to be here. He didn't want to do what the team needed him to do.

Good for him. Good for the Thunder. Fair winds and following seas.

Oh yeah, I was just thinking we needed yet another one of these topics.

The only mistake the Jazz made was not sending his sorry sandbagging *** to Sacramento where he could languish in basketball hell.

He publicly demanded a trade.

Is that fact just lost on the Kanter fans? How can one get value from a guy who is not a superstar and is publicly demanding a trade?

Since we got basically nothing from the deal we should've dumped him in NBA PURGATORY instead of letting him nurse on the ***** of kd and Russ.

Let the Kanter fans have their delusional moment of victory. Even if he plays really well in the first round, his defensive ineptitude is guaranteed to be exposed sooner rather than later. I'm betting his minutes get cut shorter and shorter as OKC advances, and once they are the eliminated, the Thunder will be faced with the simple truth that you can't win in the playoffs with bigs who can't defend. Don't be surprised when OKC is desperately trying to dump him in the off season.

Kanter wanted to start, and he wanted a max contract. Jazz passed. He's still not a great passer, defender or team player. In that respect, Lyles will actually be better for us.

I think this is a great question that you asked. We are all entitled to an opinion and it looks like a lot of fanz are sour towards Kanter. Being not only a fan but a basketball realist, I think the separation of Kanter had its ups and downs. Leading up to his depart from Utah it was well documented that he did not want to play for Utah. We could have shopped him and taken the highest bidder, however we chose to not shop him and trade him for scrap in the closing minutes. I think that he was a valuable enough of an asset to gain something for his exchange. I 100% agree that he needed to go. But if I think of what would the very successful organizations in the NBA do given the same scenario, I could not see them dealing him away for nothing valuable in return. Those little things are what separates good organizations from great organizations. You wouldn't give away a $20 dollar bill away to someone for nothing in exchange just because it was uglier and more weathered than the rest of the bills in your wallet, would you? Well then why trade away a valuable asset for nothing in return?

Golly gee, you showed him.

Thats what happens when you trade away your 3rd pick for nothing and try to build around trash role players.

Outcome = Lottery team for life
