Utah trades Gordon and Favors to Boston. In return, Boston trades Utah the #3 pick in 2016, which Utah drafts Murray or Hield. Boston also sends #23 in 2016 for Thon Maker.

Boston also sends 2017 Brooklyn unprotected pick and 2017 Boston uprotected pick.
2018 Brooklyn unprotected pick.
2019 Memphis unprotected pick.

This leaves Boston like this:

Smart/Thomas
Bradley
Hayward
Crowder
Favors

Utah looks like this:

Exum/Mack
Murray/Burks
Hood
Lyles/Maker
Gobert

It also gives Utah 4 picks in 2017, including a potential #1 and a potential additional top 5 pick, two picks in 2018 including a potential #1, and 2 picks in 2019 with a potential high pick from Memphis.

Why? Well, right now we aren't in the playoffs anyways. We aren't going anywhere unless Exum takes us there. Exum is 19 years old, so he ain't taking us anywhere in the next 2-3 years. So, instead of wasting Favors and Hayward and getting stuck in the 7-11 range in the West, we build around Exum now. We get him talent with potential for a superstar in 2017. Imagine two top 5 picks next year (us and Brooklyn).

So, what do we do? Do we stay pat, risk losing Hayward next summer, and if Exum doesn't pan out, be a 7-10 seed in the West for the next 7 years until Gobert and Exum leave, or do we swing for the fences so when Exum hits the end of his term here in Utah and is an unrestricted free agent, he has a TON of talent around him?

Flame away.

This is a worse take than when you thought Travis Wilson was a good QB.

Boston doesn't have Brooklyn's 2017 pick and the Memphis pick is not unprotected. And that's just for starters.

Hopefully the mods rename this and put "Trade Idea" in front. IMO, something like this shouldn't be named like it is fact.

As for the OP, these proposals just keep getting sillier.

This site says that Boston has the right to swap picks with Brooklyn in 2017. So, we would have the option of ours or Brooklyn's.

Memphis is top 9 protected in 19, top 7 protected in 20, unprotected in 21.

That would still give us multiple picks in 17, which is what we the prize is.

Basically, what this trade is going for is the #1 pick in 2017, then building around Exum, 2017 pick, Gobert, Hood, the #3 2016 pick and Lyles.

There are some really good DLeague players we should look at really really!!!!
We'll have that chance. Didn't you hear the Jazz moved their DLeague team to Salt Lake?

Good gawd, if I have to watch the players like CJ, Millsap, etc get significant minutes, I'll scream. DL needs to sign a decent bench, not think Quin and the player development staff can turn water into wine (or crap into prime rib).
