Following 2016 potential draftees

4. Jamal Murray

I narrowed it down to just Murray. I read Bern's article on Murray's negatives, which was informative, and so to balance it out I'd like to see why Pelton had Murray rated 4th.

This isn't from the article...
He finished his freshman season at Kentucky with averages of 20.0 points, 5.2 rebounds, 2.2 assists, 1.0 steal, and 3.0 3-point field goals.

It's going to suck when he drops to Sacramento and they ruin his career.

Prince reminds me of Iggy a lot more than Bembry does. That said, I like both a lot and would be happy with either - just not at 12.

Prince is more Demarre Carroll. He doesnt have the ball skills or passing ability to an Igoudala type.

Really nothing that interesting. I was listening to it while working on some stuff, so I wasnt fully engaged.

He thinks Utah will pick someone with potential, unless Poetl falls to them.

He really likes Bembry and compared him to Igoudala.

About all I can remember.

Is Bembry's D anywhere close to what Iguodala was or is?

Bembry's family member got murdered, absolutely awful.

You know who else's got murdered before the draft?

Kawhi Leonard.

Draft Bembry, bring on the championships.

From Chad Ford's insider article.

Jamal Murray: Yeah, Murray will go 3 to 7. He's got a pretty narrow range right now. He's in the mix literally with every single one of those teams with maybe the exception of the Suns. The Celtics are looking at him at three, Wolves are looking at him at 5, Pelicans like him at 6, and Denver even likes him at 7 as a nice backcourt made to Emmanuel Mudiay, and it's a little bit fluid there because he's battling guys that are in the same tier. All of them are very different at what they do, and I think it's going to come down more to team need than it is on necessarily ranking talent. I think as far as talent goes, Murray has the ability to be the best perimeter scorer in this draft. I think he's going to be a 20-point-per-game scorer in the NBA and one of the best shooters in this draft. Defensively I think the concerns are there.
