I think it might make more sense when we finally see all of the pieces in the George Hill trade. The full trade cant be announced, nor can the Jazz comment until after the July. I thought it would be July 1, but David James said Lindsey couldn't comment on trades until July 7.

Paige might be interesting. Was the preseason pick to be player of the year in the ACC and then broke his hand. Had a pretty good NCAA tournament and a good championship game. He might be a sleeper.

LOL. Seriously funny. Hill is better than the 12th pick. We did not need to get younger another season, we needed an experienced vet who could play. How many 2nd round pick draft and stash Euro's actually show up to the NBA and make an impact? How many underrated 2nd round picks come in and make an impact? I'd go with the underrated players anytime, especially with the Jazz's success at doing that exact thing.

No, I really don't. Marcus Paige and Tyrone Wallace could easily go overseas and we would still retain their rights. That's what Olivier Hanlan did. You don't have to be European to go play in Europe.

Nope. Because there is no difference. Those players can also go to Europe and play and we retain their rights. If the 2nd round picks we got do end up being any good our odds of them playing for the team are better because they are from the states and would rather play here.

Ah I didn't know that thanks. I still find it more likely they play for the Jazz if they are any good, than a Euro draft and stash player. I find that kind of stupid as well. If your using the D-league as a training league for the NBA the teams should hold the right to players there. Sort of like Baseball works. I don't see why the D-league should be treated different than Europe.

The player they got in free agency didn't have to be as good as Hill. Just a player who can do similar things. 11 ppg/3 apg/3 rpg isn't hard to find. And with more than 30 million in cap space we wouldn't have trouble signing one. Money talks.
