What's new

Here's a video to get you excited about Hood and the team nest season!

That wasn't clear when the trade was announced, though. So, even though I've been a huge fan of Hill for a while, I also had my reservations at first. Once he and his agent made that gesture, though, the only reasonable thing to do was to get ****ing stoked for this trade (with your fingers crossed that it does indeed workout long-term).

He was here for a basketball camp in Highland this summer. I thought it was odd at the time. After the trade was made it kinda seems like he was checkin Utah and the Jazz out.

I think his future is extremely bright... Then again I always seem to be too high on our young guys.
I expected favors, kanter, hayward, and Burks (the "core 4") all to be better than they are right now lol.

I'm doing the same thing again with rudy, hood and lyles. I will never learn

You expected Hayward to be better than he is right now? You must have really liked him.

If Hill doesn't stay, then they have a clear point.

I don't really agree with this. With Hayward being a year away from UFA, I think this is the kind of gamble you have to take if you're going to try and re-sign him. If Hill leaves it will suck, but it would be an absolute disaster to lose Gordo for nothing because we weren't willing to gamble with a #12 pick in a ho-hum draft year.

Having said that, I honestly believe a big reason DL took Hill over Teague is because he believes there's a good chance we can re-sign him.

I personally think its more due to fit, personality, and defensive ability. Teague and Exum wouldn't work near as well as Hill and Exum. Jazz also want a defensive oriented team, and I think they see Hill as a much better fit due to that. I also think they worry about Teagues personality, I'm sure Snyder had some input as he coached Teague in Atlanta and I believe Hill in San Antonio (? Unsure on this one).

I honestly thought that each of the cour 4 had a good chance at being all stars..... And I considered Hayward the best of them. So ya, no all stars at all so far. I'm a bit disappointed by each of them in relation to my expectations.

Hayward is an All-Star level player though. He's top 5 at his position. Idk how you could have expected him to be more than a 20/5/5 guy who plays good defense and makes his teammates better. Him not making the All-Star team is more of a reflection of our team's success than it is of Hayward's.

I'd say he's more than lived up to my expectations--so much so that my expectations for him continue to rise.

I did not know this. I blame jazzfanz.

I definitely understand this argument. That said, if Hill does leave, then I'd also understand the counter-argument. I'm totally on-board, though, at this point.

Perfectly put.

Don't u remember how he made Kobe stare at his hands as if to complain that they had failed him instead of giving credit to Hayward for great defense. Lol
