George Hill coming to Utah

The way I see it is that while Teague is the better player, Hill is the better overall and more versitile player, and Teague may only be the better pg because of style of play. I've never been very high Teague as a player

This was literally a bunch of gobbledygook.

Idiot!!

The revelation that Teague played last year with a bad knee would make me very concerned about they type of future investment it would take to lock him up long term. Hill doesn't have the health issues and legitimately sounds like he wants to be in Utah.

Besides. . . Jeff Teague is a Quin Snyder guy. If the Jazz wanted him, I have to believe they'd have gotten him. They got the guy they wanted. Just wish they'd have ended up with the Pacers 1st round pick too. Oh well.

We are still betting on Exum. I think they realize Hill works better with Exum. I see them playing together, and Hill
being a second string if and when Exum explodes. Teague has to be the man, and would not sit for Exum.

The level of Exum delusion around here is insane. If Exum ever explodes it's probably still a ways out. If Exum ever turned into the kind of player Hill is I would be happy. Exum will play back up pg with some minutes at the 2 but he won't be a starter this year unless we are hit with injuries. Hill is a better pg. Hood and Burks are better at the 2. All 3 of those guys will play ahead of Exum clear through the playoffs this season.

The Exum hype is a little over the top. In my mind, he is a rookie again. The first few months will be just shaking off rust. Then you have the mental obstacle of getting over the ACL which can be much longer. I don't see a real strong season, but am still optimistic in the long run he can be a great point guard.

Which is why the 30 year old Hill is a perfect fit. He is very similar to what Exum can become. It will create continuity. Exum might not take over for another 4 or 5 years. That's ok. He will still only be about Hoods age and will hopefully have loads of playoff experience. This is how you win now and build something that will last.

Honestly, I think Hill is a top 15 PG. A guy like that definitely gets us to 50 wins...I mean, look who we've been running out there at PG. will he be a star? Of course not, but he will be incredibly vital.

I so hope you're right. I'd love that.

FTR- cause a lot of you like to misconstrue my thoughts, I think Exum still has superstar potential. But, that's 3+ years off. Hill will be the starter. I've been told the Jazz brass think Exum will earn the starting job come Jan or Feb. I think that's a little optimistic.

Remember how DL always like to model our team on the 2004 Detroit Championship team? (a well balanced team with no real star, but build on defensive prowess)

- Hill is like our Chauncey (i.e., steady at the point & shoots 3 at a high level).

- Hood is like our Rip (not as crafty, yet, but a better 3pt shooter)

- Hayward is better than Prince IMO

- Favors is no where near as good offensively as 'Sheed though

- Gobert certainly has Ben Wallace's defensive potential
