If Durant Signs With Someone other than OKC

Suitors include the Spurs, Dallas, Golden State, Miami, the Lakers, Washington and Boston. There's an interesting article on Yahoo about how these teams would have to restructure things. In each instance there would be some pretty good veterans that would be searching for a new home or being traded for next to nothing.

Also that gives Utah a legit chance to be the best in the division. And a top 3 team in the west depending on where Durant goes.

Maybe. Maybe not. It's lottery protested, and the playoffs aren't a guarantee without Durant. They're likely, but not guaranteed.

As long as Westbrook is healthy they will make the playoffs, but it will be a 7 or 8 seed. That would be ideal. Then they lose Westbrook and fall off the map, never to be heard from again, just like the Kings.

I can't wait for that fan base in OKC to endure years of rebuilding. Until they go through that, I wish the national media would stop lauding them for how amazing they are.

I just got back from realgm. I forgot what jackholes most Thunder fans are. May they lose their players except Kanter and descend into the very pit of despair, yea verily may they reach the depths of a bitter hell until they receive no more accolades and they are forced under, never again to play ball in Oklahoma, selling their team to the righteous in Seattle.

Or something like that. . .

I think he only granted meetings to 6 different teams: OKC, SAS, GSW, LAC, MIA, BOS. OKC seems most likely, GSW/SAS seem like insta dynasty type deals. Boston and the Clippers are the two most interesting to me (LAC would have to move one of CP3/Griffin/Jordan). Miami just seems unlikely with all the uncertainty around Bosh and wondering if Whiteside will re-sign.
