Hayward, assuming he opts out, is 7/1/2017, correct?

What about Favors, Gobert, Hood, Burks, and Exum?
 
Also, why would Favors re-up this summer? He'd start at about 21M per and get just three years I think. Next summer he can start at 29M and get five years. That's an 82M difference.
 
From where does Hayward's wife hail? Don't understimate that. He just had that home built in Utah and if the wifey has lived in Utah her whole life and has a lot of family there, it's gonna be really tough to persuade him to leave imo.

Derrick has two years left on his deal. He is schedueled to make 11,05 and 12 million dollars over the next two years. If he renegotiates his deal now, he can get up to 25% of the cap, which is about 23,5 million. If he gets the max with no raises, he would make 24 million more over the next two years, plus another 2 years at the max. With raises, he is eligible to sign a contract which would give him around 100 million. That is hard to say no to when you already have an injury history and only are guaranteed 23 million.

We can renegotiate with Derrick 3 years after he agreed to his current deal, which is sometime in september or october this year.

As for Gordon, there will be no extension. He will opt out and become a free agent next summer. We can sign him on July 1st 2017.

I'm a big DL fan, but he screwed the pooch by not giving Hayward the 5 year max after Favors agreed to that extension. Having both of those guys locked up past this ridiculous money phase would have given the Jazz a decided advantage in team-building. Curious to see how the CBA negotiations are going to go. Have to believe that the Union is going to push HARD to get rid of Max Contracts and let the free market set the value for the top players.

That would make absolutely no sense. The union exists of all NBA players. Why would the 95% of them fight to sacrifice their salares so that LeBron and his buddies can make even more than they do today?

Yeah a lot of really lean fitness chicks get implants since their boobs practically disappear when their body fat % is so low.
 
Hayward- FA 2017
Favors- Now, FA 2018
Gobert- Now, FA 2018
Exum- 2017 I think, FA 2019
Hood- 2017 I think, FA 2019
Burks- 2019

Cap hell is coming by 2018 with no way to improve the team except mid first round picks and mid-level exceptions/veteran minimum deals. DL better be right that this group can win a title as constructed because he's painted us in a corner once he gives Hayward the max (probably in the range of 30-35 million per)
