What's new

Dennis Lindsey: We will be VERY active in free agency

We unceremoniously dumped them in order to take tens of millions in worthless contracts. I don't think the Jazz are as sentimental as you think they are, especially for guys who have never been to the playoffs.

You are jumping around here. You said Gobert would be valuable as a contract that we could trade later. I've been told that about Al, Millsap, AK, etc.

All I'm saying is that we have never moved a role player with a big contract for assets. We've been too cheap too. So, when I'm told that we can move an overpaid Gobert someday if needed...I'm a little skeptical.

"Could never?"

Guess Lebron James couldn't be traded by that logic. Couldn't =/= Didn't. And what the **** do you know about the behind-the-scenes **** anyway? That question is rhetorical.

God you are so stupid. Just answer the question. Who did we trade those players for. It's quite simple. You can sit there and blow smoke out your *** and try this ******** answer, but it doesn't answer a very simple question. A question so simple, even an 8 year old could fire up Google and find the answer to.

In Utah's past, what overpaid role player did we flip for assets? What makes you think that if we overpay Gobert and he doesn't improve, we can just flip him for assets?

Again, simple question, with a simple answer:

Who did we trade those players for?

The Jazz didn't want to trade Millsap or Al, so they didn't. Does that help?

EXACTLY MY POINT.

In order to trade those players (Millsap excluded), they would have had to take back a bad contract or some other negative aspect. They elected to keep the overpriced role player until his contract expired and hurt the team and reduce their ability to make moves.

That is EXACTLY what worries me about maxing out Gobert. What if he doesn't improve? What if he continues to regress? Then we are stuck with him until his deal expires, which can hamper our future ability to make moves, which could piss off Hayward or Exum and cause them to want out (ala Deron)...

Hayward and Favors are much more valuable than Gobert right now. Hayward is by far our best player. Out of Hayward, Favors and Gobert, Hayward might be the only player worthy of a max deal.

I disagree, but to each their own. Favors and Hayward are good but they aren't rare talents. 16/8 and a block is good but it isn't rare for a PF. Hayward can do a little bit of everything 19/5/4 but he's not spectacular in any one facet. Honestly I don't think we have a max player on this roster as it stands right now. But if I was paying one I would pay Rudy because he is the most irreplaceable.

Appearantely Jazz offered Dudley 15 Mill per for 2 years. He chose Phoenix.
