What's new

Dennis Lindsey: We will be VERY active in free agency

Seriously, if my wifey even has that app downloaded on her phone, it's a bad sign, right?

Depends on if she is finding chicks and is cool with you participating or at very least watching.

I disagree, but to each their own. Favors and Hayward are good but they aren't rare talents. 16/8 and a block is good but it isn't rare for a PF. Hayward can do a little bit of everything 19/5/4 but he's not spectacular in any one facet. Honestly I don't think we have a max player on this roster as it stands right now. But if I was paying one I would pay Rudy because he is the most irreplaceable.

Your right on here. We each think a little differently. That being said, I think Hayward is VASTLY underrated. He has been our PG since Harris left. It's one reason why I was so disappointed when we didn't get Teague. I think if we can move Hayward from primary ball handler to secondary ball handler he would be even better. I think Hayward could get to 20-23 pts per game with some help.

So, I would max Hayward, I would continue to max Hayward, and I would try my best to find Hayward a partner in crime. A ball handler to take some pressure off Hayward. Then I'd keep one of Favors or Gobert.

Keon Clark and Ben Handlogten turned into Kirk Snyder and Gordon Hayward.
Jeff Malone turned into Jeff Hornacek
Spencer Haywood turned into Adrian Dantley
DeShawn Stevenson for Gordon Giricek
Gordon Giricek for Kyle Korver
Ronnie Brewer for draft pick used to get Al Jefferson.

Half of those players barely had a pulse and were traded for value.

Handlogten was gonna be a star doe

Haven't run across this yet. Where are you seeing it?

This can't be true. He would have been passing up some serious dough.

If we are able to work out a trade for Rudy Gay it would probably be a one year deal.

2016/17 season Rudy makes $13.3M
2017/18 season Rudy has a player option at $14.2M

Jazz have short-term money and likely winning situation to offer. But that's clearly not enough for many players.

Have much harder time with long-term contracts and assurance of lots of playing time. Not hard to see why the Dudley/Hill level of players (fringe starters, but clear backups for Jazz) might choose somewhere else.

Not one of those trades involved a high priced Utah Jazz player. They all involved role players for role players. None of them overpaid. They aren't the same.

you get the same money in 2 years with the Jazz as opposed to 3 with the Suns. If the rumored Jazz deal was on the table, I suspect he would have gotten more from the Suns.
