What's new

KD to GSW... I hate those guys

Thompson when he's doing nothing but spotting up still has one of the strongest defensive gravities of any player in the league. Same with Curry. Same with Durant. That's really what this is about and what makes this so seismic.

I think there is a big difference.

He joined an established core that has already won a ring. Lebron joined a Heat team that was past it's good years and added Bosh (who also wasnt winning much).

I think the biggest thing people have a problem with is that the Thunder where up 3-1 on the Warriors and Durant choked teh series away in the clutch minutes of game 6. Now he is going to join the team that he lost to.
Yup

I am personally excited to watch another historic team next season. This doesn't really affect the Jazz, so I'm not bothered by it.

First of all...just WOW!!! Jerry West does it again. I find it funny how people are trashing GS and Durant for using the system in place. KD has every right to pick a new team. He is getting less money for a better opportunity to win a championship. I am sure if KD were coming to the Jazz, Jazz fans wouldn't be thrashing the organization.

This situation is not like Malone and the Lakers. Malone was like 39 years old when he went to the Lakers. I have no doubt if Kobe had kept his pants up and Malone hadn't got hurt then Malone and the Lakers would have been champions.

It is a bummer for OKC but hey I don't feel too bad for them. They stole their franchise so Karma sucks. I believe Jazz have a legitimate shot at winning the division. GS is going to be incredible to watch.

Are you sure this situation isn't EXACTLY like Durant joining the jazzzzzz?????

Srs question: how ****ing high are you right now? How many different drugs are you on?

Work, they went to the finals the first year and lost to Dallas then won two straight. GS has won only one title. You can say they choked but the title they won has an * because Cleveland was playing w/o Irving or Love. The reality is that Lebron went to Miami because he knew Wade was there and Bosh was coming with him. It is called free agency. Fans don't like it unless they end up getting the superstar(s).
LBJ left a crap team to help build a good team. But Miami had to assemble the team and coaching staff. Durant is leaving a contender to go to the favorite. Big difference in my mind.

Bosh had done zero before joining LBJ. Wade had one great year with Shaq. GS just win 73 games and the title all within 2 years. LBJ left to try to win titles as part of a big 3. Durant is jumping on coattails to get a ring. Very different in my book. Miami had work to do. GS had to choke to not win 2 straight.

The whole point is who Lebron joined up with. Wade didnt just have one great year. He was a top5 player. Who had already won a ring and a finals MVP.

Lebron still bailed for a beter chance to win rings. He actually did it twice when he went to the Cavs. He wouldnt have went back there if they didnt have Kyrie and Wiggins to bargain with. People want to make him out to be a good guy for going back, but he essentially did the same thing again. He knew Wade was falling off. So he bailed. He knew Kyrie was a good player to team up with.

Durant is just smart enough to see that if he wants to win he has to out Lebron Lebron.

If GSW stays together + healthy, then this definitely steps on the early part of our title window with this group.

The Jazz has little chance to contend with the current squad. Too many ifs. If GSW stay together, if they stay healthy, if Exum pans out, if Lyles becomes a serious threat. Who knows what will happen? I do know GSW will be amazing to watch next season. I hope they break the record again. I like witnessing a memorable narrative.
