I don't hoard but if I'm going to spend thousands of dollars then I want it to be for something more than an hour or 2 of oohs and ahhs with the off chance that I burn my house down or injure myself. Just not quite the return that I look for when I spend money.
Much rather use that money for a week in Hawaii or something.
To each their own though
Hawaii is oohs an ahhs.
I like instantaneous gratification as much as cheap calm solitude. You could say my sushi addiction is a waste of money. $70 each plus tax and tip for 30 minutes pleasure. You could say my investment in army tent, enclosed trailer, furnace, cots, army clothes for the experience, MREs, Dutch ovens, grill, kettles, wash basins, solar showers, fishing poles, lures, chainsaw an axes an 4x4 are a waste.
How many people do my fireworks please? What is the price per person compared w ppp to Hawaii? Minuscule.
