For me, 8th is about right. 18 and 7 means nothing if the guy plays zero defense.
Does he play 0 defense or was he just on one of the all-time worst teams because they made no effort to build the roster to win games?

Hmm, perhaps I need to check out more nugget's games. Jokic should be up there as well shouldn't he?
Why does Okafor fall to #8?
I know people aren't in love with him, but 18 and 7 as a rookie. To me he is the 3rd pick in a redraft.
Well, Okafor doesn't have a natural position the way the league is heading. He's really a 5, but he doesn't rim protect and he can't guard out on the floor. He's hard to play at the 4 because he has limited range, limiting spacing, and he can't guard in space. Philly was trying to trade him recently and couldn't get a pick in the 4 - 7 range this year.
Lyles is like the prototypical multi-faceted PF.
I still don't think he goes before Lyles in redraft, just too much potential. You say he doesnt have a position, but that is wrong. He is a center and he can be a great one.

I honestly don't think the Jazz would trade Lyles for Booker straight across right now.
Probably something like this...
1 KAT
2 Porzingis
3 Russell
4 Mudiay
5 Lyles
6 Turner
7 Booker
8 Okafor
9 Winslow
10 Hezonja
I think I was one. He was a poor shooter in college, then I go to a jazz scrimmage age he shot poorly and I noticed a hitch in his shot, then he shot poorly in summer league, then he shot poorly at the beginning of the year. (I think he went quite a few games without making a shot iirc as missed his first handful of shots on the year. Like his first 10 shots or something)Boy, oh, boy, this kid is fun to watch. He's pretty ****ing smooth. Last year, there were a few board posters complaining about his shooting mechanics and saying he would never be a good shooter.
Yes. Mudiay sucked as a rookieI'm not sure about this list. Mudiay was truly awful - shot .364 from the field and had 3.8 to/36min. I don't think he ever will account for much. Turner already seems solid, with great size and an amazing shooting touch. I would even pick him before Lyles. Russell seems to have lots of potential indeed.

Hell, even when I heard about his workout for the jazz pre draft I heard his three point shooting in that workout and it was nothing special. (Seems like it was between 50-60% from three or something with no one guarding him)
Dude has exceeded my expectations by miles with his shooting.
From day one after we drafted him and I saw him up close I saw lots of skills but I said it over and over again like a broken record at the start of the year. If he doesn't become a good shooter then he is a bust regardless of his size, ball handling, passing, etc.
Well, he didn't just become a good shooter. He became a great one it looks like.
Ya, his shot was flat.I never complained about his mechanics, but his shot looked incredibly flat to me in SL and throughout his first year.
Ya, his shot was flat.
And his mechanics did look good but I was at a scrimmage sitting right up in the front row and watching him warm-up and I had this perfect angle from right behind his left shoulder and he had the weirdest twist of his left hand (which had too much contact with the ball anyway) when he released that caused a side spin and he missed a ton of shots while warming up.
I honestly had no hope for his shot. He proved me way wrong. Thankfully.
