Lets say Hayward walks.. How can they best damage control it?

Cunning Linguist is just whats called controlled opposition, and not to be taken seriously under any circumstances, he exists to speak of extreme scenarios to try to broaden the spectrum of responses on this forum, look at him undder that light and you'll see just how predictable and formulaic his responses are. An obvious agent of the mods or owners of this site to fluff up the responses/post counts, and nothing more, he's not the only one too, see Ncoloradojazz and there's several more.

They aren't all chosen, some are sold, one of the perks of premium membership is obviously being allowed to create multiple accounts so users can post extreme grade aaa garbage and not take flack for it on their 'real' accounts.

Simple reason that has seem to escape you in your NBA2K brain.... Since Boston is in good position now and yet have a lot of draft picks it makes a lot of sense to make moves. Boston doesn't want to keep adding rookies when they are in position now. I suggest stop playing video game GM and look at the reality of it.

Why does it make sense for them to make moves at this deadline? Wouldn't it make sense for them to showcase their assets as much as possible while cruising to a playoff spot?? What of my Carmelo-Denver comparison? is that a 2k scenario?

Isaiah Thomas has 2 seasons left on his contract so they can easily wait til the offseason to accelerate their process, the onus on certainly on Utah to trade Hayward, not on Boston to trade for him, they can sign him without giving back any assets if they just wait it out.. Then trade those assets to bring in another heavy hitter alongside Hayward, Thomas and Horford to form a big 4..

Ha! Keep spinning whatever makes you feel better.

No one really responded to the OP under the guidelines outlined (Other than me), the thread is about a course of action for if Hayward walks, which was immediately derailed.

it's not worth reading.

Just predictable, near-sighted, deluded responses about the Jazz, people trying to reinforce their old points from other threads by suggesting unobtainable trades and also absurd leaps of faith about them winning a championship.

Cuz ur thread is lame.

Let's assume this

Now assume this

Now assume this

Now assume this

Now assume this

Now research the salary cap situation in the hypothetical set of situations you presented, find out all the players who will be free agents at the seasons end, what teams have picks to get all the sure-fire superstars you are certain to support in the upcoming draft, etc.

Simply put, very few care that much to bother with your threads premise. I certainly don't. I'm guessing the main priority for most of the posters here is to watch and enjoy the upcoming Jazz season.

And I actually think getting Durant is more realistic than CP3. I really think CP3 is going to try and team up with Lebron, Melo, or Wade.

It's just kinda weird that the OP is assuming Gordon Hayward walks, and then the future HOF Chris Paul is gonna come to Utah.

Anyway, I'm with you, I think Paul will team up with another superstar or two in a quest for a ring.

You are predicting a 14 to 17 game improvement from one season to another from a team that was already average. My memory might be failing me but, to tell you the truth, I don't recall anything like that happening over the last ten years, with any team. I hope you're right, though.

The Dubs improved 16 games two seasons ago with pretty much nothing but organic growth and a coaching change.

We will have a ton of guys back from injury, should see organic growth ourselves, have added three other very solid free agents, and really can't be any worse in close games if the law of averages means anything.

Now please tell me again how great of a movie Tron Legacy was. ROFL. You're a straight clown.

Let's a make a little wager with all this stock market money you've churned out in between dating high class honies and splitting the atom. Say $1,000. I bet you the Jazz will win at least 49 games this year.
