What's new

ACL tears,BR has 2017 draft with Giles #2(2 tears) and #4 Smith(1 tear),so why so much doubt on Exum

Guys with ACL tears will have a big asterisk in their scouting files with NBA teams. They will be either cleared or his file is gonna be burned once he does medical checks during pre draft visits.
Also ACL tear =/= ACL tear

Can you be more specific ??

Exum will get plenty of minutes.
It's a must to know what we do, if anything, with Hill after this season.

Well every ACL is different. The fewest are clear ruptures, usually you have associated injuries like a damaged meniscus that causes swelling and extends rehab.
With most ppl the ACL in fact is stronger after a rupture due to the reconstruction, few ppl are predisposed to have additional ACL rupture as the geometry of their knee makes them susceptible to re-ruptures.
I just know that generalization is very inaccurate when it comes to this specific injury.

It has now been 12 months since the injury. Also, jabari sucked for a couple months when he came back. Exum will look great midseason.

Yep. I'm hoping Exum looks like a whole new player come mid-to-late January.

Jabari seems to have full recovered from his ACL in leaping ability at least. Not sure about lateral movement.

I may be one of Exum's biggest supporters on this site. However I agree with the bring him along slowly to start the season. If he takes that job from Hill then so be it. And if he can take the Job from Hill in the preseason/Training camp then even better. But you can't just hand it over to him. This season is too important for the team going forward to allow that to happen. I love Exum's defense, but Hill is a good defender as well, and Hill brings more on the offensive side, or at least going by their previous seasons. If Exum has made serious strides on offense then he should be able to push for that job anyway, if he hasn't then he needs to learn from Hill and improve going forward.
.
If this was the start of last season and we had Hill and Exum I'd be all over starting Exum because the season did not matter that much. But for this season they need to show they can win, they need to learn how to win, and they need to show their players that they can be competitive going forward.
