2016 Annual JazzFanz Current Players Draft

OT, watching this Gordon Hayward tennis championship game, my team would win in basketball and tennis.

What is there to criticize? The 2016-17 MVP? One of the best two way players in the game? An ultra consistent do it all point guard? One of the best defenders in the game?

So consistent he couldn't lead them to the playoffs sans Durant two years ago.

I think Westbrook would be a favorite, at lest in the top 3, of MVP candidates. He will probably average close to a triple double. I guess it would depend on how many wins his team finishes with, but he will likely have the best statistical season out of anyone.

On a fringe playoffs team.

Yeah, but people were predicting them to be a bottom 5 team if they traded him.

He averaged 31-10-9 post all-star break the year KD went out. You going to tell me if he averages those numbers and his team makes the playoffs he won't be a MVP?

On **** efficiency. Has anyone ever won the MVP on a fringe playoffs team with low efficiency?

MVP does not equal best player, but you are playing yourself if you don't think Westbrook is going to be a top contender for MVP this season. Everything is setup perfectly for it to happen.

**** efficiency? You are looking like a clown right now man. He was pretty efficient with that volume of usage (especially form a scoring perspective). He did TO a lot, but that was the only real criticism you could make towards his efficiency.

lol. okay.

IDK. What I do know is that the 2nd best player in the world went to a stacked team who had the previous MVP, so that greatly diminishes their chances of being MVP. Lebron's statistical dominance has a taken a backseat since he doesn't really go hard in the regular season anymore. I would put Westbrook as the favorite to win MVP this year. The NBA has shown a tendency to not award too many MVP's in a row also, so I dont think Steph wins it next year unless he has the best season of all time.

lol. okay.

Every gambling website has him as the 2nd best odds at winning MVP. They have Curry as 1st still, but like I said in the previous post, I don't see the NBA awarding a 3rd straight MVP given teh changes to their team and just a historical tendency to not give MVP to the same person 3 times in a row (I think it only happened with Wilt and Bill).

Westbrook
Harden
Curry
Lebron
Davis

That would be my top 5 in order of likeliness of winning MVP.
