Some interesting notes:
-Exum now has an ***. Says Exum didnt feel comfortable his rookie year because of lack of strength. Said he could get by guys, but would always be off-balance because the strength differential was so large.

-Hayward has gotten significantly stronger again and the coaching staff is very impressed that he still able to make these kind of gains in his strength.

-Says Favors off-season workout discipline has increased this year. Says someone on the coaching staff asked him if he wanted to just be a 16/8 guy or something more and that has motivated Favors this off-season.

-Says it's possible Joe Ingles overtakes Burks in the rotation if Burks doesnt figure out how to play in Quin's system. Might be the odd man out w/ so many ball-handlers and the additions of George Hill and Exum taking on more playmaking.

-Doesnt expect Gobert to improve his FT shooting much. Says he sees him as a guy who is a 60% shooter. Says he works on it a lot without much huge gains in improvement.

woah. I'm surprised and not surprised at the same time. I love Burks, but everything said there is true.

And I've been saying Hayward will take another lead this year with a legitimate PG. I think he'll average 23+ points on changes in efficiency. He scored 19.7 on 15 shots/6 free throws a game and .493 eFG% last year. If he raised that eFG% to .54 (Big leap), he'd score 1.5 more points per game. Give him one more shot/free throw per game and he's up to 23. Here are the wings/gaurds that averaged an eFG of .54 or above on 15 or more shots per game. Pretty elite company.

Hard to believe after the last few years of growth, but looks like Gordon Hayward is going to be on @langwhitaker #musclewatch - He is huge

Word out of Jazz is Gordon Hayward and Derrick Favors notched up the off-season work to brand new level. Trey Lyles not far behind

David Locke @Lockedonsports
Hayward made a shot on the right baseline an 19 foot stop and step back that I don't think he physically could have made last year

Locke on Alec:

Burke's weakness is struggle to make other players better because they were not sure where he was going with the ball, making it hard for teammates to space.
Could see scenarios where Jingles plays ahead of him
With Hill/ Hayward/ Johnson/ Rudy or Derek on the floor, do you want Alec dominating the ball driving?
Great catch and shoot, better than Alec realizes
Alec thinks he is better off the bounce
Will come back from injury a different player

I don't remember anything about too many ballhandlers or Hill/Exum playmaking being a factor in Alec getting bumped by Jingles.

I was paraphrasing, but the part where he was talking about Alec preferring to play off the bounce as a reason Ingles might play ahead, I took that as him saying too many ball handlers.

good point.

I think Alec is on the bubble and would not be surprised to see him moved. They may want to display him to get value. I can see him potentially having higher value in a different system.
