First game thread ever for me.

I'll be there tomorrow, wearing my Gordon Hayward player tee. Gonna get there early hopefully meet the youngins and the newbies, get pictures, autographs, etc.

Millsap is hopeful to return tomorrow night, as well as Luis Scola.

Rookie Patrick Patterson had 18 points, 12 rebounds, 4 blocks in a Houston win against Celtics on Friday.

Harris/Miles/AK/Millsap/Jefferson
Lowry/Martin/Budinger/Scola/Hayes

With Patterson and Favors replacing Millsap and Scola if they dont play. See some rookie battle. Patterson is pretty solid.

I was there for game 7 a few years back and helped bring us a win, lets see if i can do it again!

GO JAZZ!

Next three games may determine whether Jazz make the playoffs or end up with the 12th seed. Houston has been hot, I can see them passing up the Jazz. Then it's on to Memphis and OKC. Jazz could be another three games back of the Grizzlies by the end of the week.

I've gone back and forth on whether or not I want the Jazz to make the playoffs. Even losing big to SA means playoff experience - and extra money for the Millers. The draft is weak. Even so, I think an extra lottery pick could be valuable, considering many teams may be looking to dump vets under a new CBA. That #12 pick could be parlayed into a decent veteran wing.

Houston should prevail at home. Rockets by 8.

We are getting healthier, hopefully Sap's return will take some pressure of Big Al.

We've had some great battles with Houston, and a lot of them we win.
Although this is obviously a more offensive minded Rockets team, that's what puts doubt in my mind with the way we play defense sometimes just frustrates me.
Can we put in the defensive effort?

Because of that I say Rockets win this one, Kevin Martin is going to score a lot.

Well to say this is an important game is an understatement. We need to beat Both Houston and Memphis to really even have a chance at the playoffs with the rest of our schedule being brutal. Not liking our chances in this game. But if we can come out and play the way we did in the first half against Minny we could have a chance to steal this one.

Next two games are essentially our whole season. Win them and we keep pushing to the playoffs, lose em and it's all about lottery balls. I think we're starting to get on a bit of a role and play with some confidence now though so these are very winnable games starting with Houston.

Can the CJ Miles experiment begin?

Jazz by 12

Miles scored 40 in his last game?? Then we are forsurely doomed.

But with the Sap hopefully coming back, perhaps he will will us to victory. Against some lineups i`d like to see a frontcourt of Millsap, Favors, Al.

The last time we played Houston we lost by one (granted, it was in SLC) - D-Will and AK didn't play. I think we take this one.

Snoop Dogg loves the Jazz

Jazz wont make the playoffs. Houston's schedule is way to easy. I pick them to get the 8th and final spot.

Have they announced the starting lineup? I really hope Millsap does not start. Our starting unit the last few games has been getting off to good starts. Millsap needs to carry that 2nd unit.

I will be mad if Millsap starts. We are playing well right now. We need Millaps scoring off the bench and Favors size to start and set the tone defensively.

but I am sure Corbin will follow the model of Sloan and say you don't lose your starting position because of injury. Which is bull.

This is the perfect opportunity to have Sap head up the 2nd unit without stepping on any toes. Favors needs to start.
