PERSONAL FOUL!

I feel like this game was lost in the first quarter. Can't afford foul trouble to Hill and Hood in the first quarter. We let the Spurs get confident early from the FT line. We had a nice scoring run in the 2nd, but the Spurs seemed to answer every bucket even when defended well. This game had to be mentally draining with how the refs were calling it and the Spurs were answering.

Definitely a game that would be completely different with Hayward. Having Joe Johnson and Hood as wing defenders make guarding guys like Leonard extremely difficult. Also without anyone who can drive to the rim to get calls, we can't really take advantage of loose whistles. Feel like Hayward would have had 10 ft attempt in the first half with the way they were calling it.

i agree. our potency drops dramatically with hill and hood hindered.

Really Hill should have been left in the game. Make the refs foul him out. The coach shouldn't do it for them, imo. Especially a good defender like Hill that can defend without fouling.

Why did he get two fouls then? When the refs are calling things that tight it kind of forces your hand. You just going to let Kahwi continue to attack them? Tough spot to be in.

never been a fan of leaving a guy in with foul trouble for this reason. it makes them a ghost on defense because they dont wanna get #3

Both in the first. No fouls after that. Kinda proves my point doesn't it. QS sat him to prevent him from getting 4 more and he didn't get even 1 more.
