Terrible Trade Idea That I Secretly Kind of Like

AB is struggling with health and will struggle to establish a role on this team when he gets back. I believe in his talent but his timeline and fit now make him difficult long term.

Once the bulldog is back the whole on our bench is at the two... kind of... I kind of like Dante at the one but would like a good balhandler alongside him.

So here we go...

AB for Lou Williams. Smaller contract, fewer years, can assume the role we'd have for Alec right now. I don't expect his current production but he's proven to be a really effective sixth man.

I'd likely want a second or to find a place to send Mack as well to free up some additional salary cap space for extensions of Favs and Hill, but AB for Lou is the main part of the deal.

I both hate it and like it... we are selling low on AB but I'm not sure we get much even if he comes back this year. Lou would fit current needs pretty well.

I'm just really struggling to see what Alec's role will be on this team when he gets back. If we put him in a place where he is unsuccesful his trade value will completely bottom and his contract may become a problem.
