FWIW, I know people who identify with alt-Right views who are not white, and, I trust, are not nationalists, homophobic, etc.
The alt-right describes a wide range of ideologies. They're all traditionalist and anti-progressive. They're often nationalist, but not always. They're sometimes homophobic, but sexuality, in general, is not a hot topic (and one of the most vocal alt-righters is gay).
All the ones I've talked to though, seem very VERY anti-feminist. The aforementioned Milo Yiannopoulos often encourages his readers to rebel against "political correctness" by addressing female co-workers using terms like honey, sweetheart, and much worse. I'd say that's their one unifying thread.
