What's new

Following potential 2017 draftees...

Stitches good write up. I just wanna add that I dunno if calling Bridges 6'6" is accurate, I know thats what the measurement came in near at the USA camp. I'm pretty sure he's closer to 6'7" tho.

I don't think he's 2 full inches shorter than Jayson Tatum at Duke who's listed at 6'8"

Swanigan lost 100lbs since he got to Purdue. He looks great. Villanova is sneaky athletic though.

Mikal Bridges threw down a nasty dunk in this one. He might be the next best option if you want a Anunoby type.

Excellent game from Josh Hart so far too.

These guards on St. Johns look better than advertised.. DeJon Jerrau is going off for UMass in the 1st half vs Mississippi 16pts 6boards 3 ast on 7fga's..

SDSU vs Gonzaga tonight should be good.

VJ King with 17 pts in 17 minutes for UL yesterday off the bench. 3/3 from 3. If he shoots the lights out he could sneak into the 1st rd.

He's got the distinction of being the best prospect from Akron Ohio since LeBron.

How bout these #'s in 15 minutes - 25pts 8/10 fg's, 3/3 from 3, 8 boards 4 assists for K.J. Lawson.

Dedric has a good game too. 19, 15, 2ast, 2stl, 1blk in 28 minutes.

Lots of games to watch today.

-#4 Oregon @ Baylor
-Maryland @ Georgetown
-#2 Kentucky v. #13 MSU
-#9 Wisconsin @ #22 Creighton
-#1 Duke v. #7 Kansas

Maryland with the win of the young season so far stealing a victory from Georgetown.

They had huge contributions from a great freshman class. Justin Jackson, Anthony Cowan and Kevin Huerter who sealed the game witha block. Even Dragan Bender's brother contributed.

So did anyone see the games yesterday?

Svi and Kennard looked great, Really like what I see from them.. Svi is tailor made for the Joe Ingles role.. Frank Jackson with 2 huge 3's, one was a 4pt play.

UK wiped MSU off the floor. Wenyen Gabriel really looks like he's gonna be a force off the bench all season. I had great confidence in UK in this matchup knowing that if Bridges got rolling Gabriel could interrupt his rhythm.

Maryland's comeback vs Georgetown was epic too. I'm telling ya's Kevin Huerter, who's a 6'5" babyfaced redhead is an NBA prospect for sure. He's a marksman and he's athletic. had the game clinching block.. Also great game from Justin Jackson off the bench, 3/4 from 3, unlikely, but If he keeps doing that he can be a one and done.

Antonio Blakeney had a great game for LSU, hopefully he can keep that going.

Baylor steamrolls Oregon.. Not a good game from 24 y/o Chris Boucher or Tyler Dorsey. Jordan Bell with an AK-47 statline.
Jonathan Motley will be returning to the 2nd round in my next mock, he's a wrecking ball in college.

Creighton whoops Wisky in the 2nd half. Justin Patton on Creighton is the player to watch!!!

Lauri Markannen is going to go very high in this draft. The kid is phenomenal with the ball in his hands.. 4/6 from Rawle Alkins, if he keeps that type of shooting going he could drum up 1st rd hype quickly.

Jonathan Isaac with 20 on 8 fga's.

Solid games for Luke Kornet and Matthew Fischer-Davis.

Malcolm Hill follows up his 40pt game with 3points vs McKendree.

Malik Monk picking up right where Jamal Murray left off with 7 3pt makes in an obliteration of MSU..

Monk is special. Shooting stroke is beautiful.

Fox's shot isn't that pretty right now, but as he gains experience, i think it will be adequate. he's good enough in other parts of the game and his elite athleticism will get him by in the meantime.

I kinda feel bad for Bam as he likely will never get enough opportunities to score while he's in college. He'll get screwed by the refs on both ends. College guards simply aren't disciplined or patient enough to feed him consistently. But his skill set, combined with size, athleticism and strength is enough to contend for #1 overall and he'll probably be a better NBA player than college. He's definitely no Skal.

Miles Bridges will be very interesting. If he can continue to improve the jumper, sky is the limit. glad Izzo is coaching him.

Frank Jackson is just what i thought he'd be. impressed with the defense. 17 ppg on 53% FGs, 54% 3pt early on and K trusts him. K could have easily pulled Frank with 4 fouls in a close game at about the 4 minute mark, he didn't and all FJ did was score 7 of the last 9 Duke points including the game tying 3. Big time talent and i think may have the right demeanor to be a star.
