Think the Jazz Would Have Found This Guy Useful Right Now?

Brock Motum continued his outstanding season by leading BC Žalgiris Kaunas to another win in Lithuania to maintain their dominance in the national league.

Fresh of another showcase performance in the EuroLeague last week, Motum translated that into an offensive masterclass in Žalgiris’ 98-84 win against Pieno žvaigždės. The 6’10 Australian Boomer missed just one shot on his way to delivering a game-high 20 points (7/8 FG) that included 1/2 from long-range and a perfect 5/5 from the charity stripe. He was not flashy, just effective, and has been a shining light for his side this season. With yet another victory, Žalgiris maintain first place in the standings with an imposing 10-1 record, 2 games clear.

Remember when Morris Almond scored 50 in that D league game? We could sure use him.

Definitely would be better than Diaw, and ofc way cheaper.. He's hogging all the minutes from possible lottery pick Isaiah Hartenstein over there!

For whatever reason Snyder never took a liking to the guy. He was as dead as Kevin Murphy to Snyder. But it seems like his Olympic play last summer suggests he is better than Diaw or Withey.

NeNe was signed for $2.8M in the offseason. he's been better than every player mentioned so far.

Serious coup by the Rockets getting him at that price. This is an interesting thread to me as my rant has been all year that our biggest weakness is backup center. Diaw is lazy and old and Withey is just soft. Sure we miss Favors at the four but I think it's his D on the more physical centers and backup five that we really miss more than anything. I look around the league and honestly I think we may have the weakest designated center reserves in the league save for maybe Brooklyn. Would Motum have helped us? Possibly but I'd prefer a more physical presence like a Nene.

I've always wished we could get Koufos back. Funny how he was getting kicked around the league until Karl got a hold of him, believed in him and turned him into a player. Think he's locked up but I did hear where Cauley-Stein might be available. Rather have Joffrey Lauvergne but it looks like he's on his way to taking our persona non grata, Kanter's minutes in OKC.

Too many pretend the Jazz can just sign anyone they want.

stop it. Money talks and despite being under the cap they continue to make guarded, modest moves(to appease Hayward)-- that somehow still aren't cost efficient (Pliess, Diaw, Johnson...)

they pay Diaw and Johnson basically what Millsap gets.. think about that.. and they let Paul walk without any ROI.

Lighting up an overseas league doesn't show so and so belongs in the nba. Look at the competition he was against. Yawn, if he could play in the NBA then he would be already

the problem AB is not many players want to play for the JAZZ. Doubt Nene would of taken a paycut to goto SLC, SLC is the least favorite NBA city of all nba cities by the players and that includes great hotbed places like Cleveland and Memphis. Those places are still looked at better then Utah. Utah is a college market not a pro market

wow, this thread didn't go where i expected.

I thought these would be more useful....

The Rockets pulled off their latest offer to Donatas Motiejunas and he is expected to leave Houston....I think he could be a good addition for the Jazz!
