Philly trade idea

Considering our lack of bigs this year and the glut that the 6ers have, what trade could we put together to get either Noel or Okafor?

Okafor- is a great low post scorer but doesn't play defense.

Noel - good defender that lacks offense.

Burks would probably be a center piece. (If he can come back and play) my guess they would ask for hood but draft pick next year burks and mack

I like the idea in theory but don't think its feasible. There's a significant $$/cap issue here and with Jah a defense issue..

Noel will be looking to go to the highest bidder this summer, and it could get pricy, and they've got Hayward and Hill to deal with and then 3 big FA's in the summer of 2018.

We dont have a lack of bigs, we just have an injury. Once Favors comes back we are going to be just fine in the big category.

This, but if for some reason they were willing to trade Okafor for Burks and GS or OKC first that would be a good trade. Okafor coming off the bench would be okay, he is still young and can score. Plus that would help with our cap situation going forward for a couple years. I dont see why they would give up that fast on Okafor for that little.

I really hate Okafor. He wouldn't be good on this team. Dreadful defender, terrible body language, and can't set a good screen to save his life.

There are some things I dislike about him but I think on a winning team he will play a little more defense and play a little harder. I like his offense and is going to get better, he is really young. The thing I dont love is matching him with Lyles. That is a lot of inside outside offense but no defense. Okafor is a decent rebounder.

Ehh, maybe, but I just dont like him at all. I think Lyles is the better player.

I know a lot of people complain about Withey, but the fact is when we are healthy he doesnt even play. Best way to upgrade that position is through the draft, we don't need to trade for any high profile players to become our 4th big man. I especially don't get the idea of trading our 3rd wing (Burks) to upgrade a position that won't even get 10 mpg when Favors is back.

Yeah but what about during the weeks in between the 3 to 5 game stretches when he is healthy, what then?

I'm still on board the Holmes train, I'd rather have him than either of those other guys.

Much cheaper to get as well.

This. It was obvious before he was drafted and is more obvious now. My buddy's a huge Sixers fan and loathes him.

LOL, wut? First off, I don't want some player who we have to coerce defense out of. Secondly, he's not athletic or bright enough to even play average defense if he wanted. Lastly, he's not a decent rebounder. He's ****ing mediocre as ****. Maybe not Brook Lopez awful but very medicore nonetheless. He's averaging 3.3 rebounds this year in 20+ minutes of play. For his career, in 28 mpg, he's averaging 6.3 rebounds per. The guy's a ****ing bum.

I'm not trading Burks or anyone on this team for a third big to play 15 20 mins a night. Burks will play a huge role on this team as the second unit stabilizer and 6th man, and fixes some of our offensive issues in the second unit. He's not nearly as valuable to us as a trade chip as he is as our sixth man, assuming he ever plays again. Lol

When Alec is back, closing like Alec Baldwin in Glengary Glen Ross people will change their tune quickly.

He's going to take Shelvin "40%FGs, 30% from 3" Mack's minutes.. which means a huge boost, closing out quarters will go much better..

I think he can be really good on the right team, I just don't think Utah is that team.

Philly would laugh at you. Got to do a lot better then Burks to make that trade happen. Maybe if you combined Whitey with him then you could get it done because Whitey trade value is sky high and so is Burks who always injured. I cant believe some of the things you people post here.
