The Official Give Hill Whatever He Wants Thread.

You know, this forum is full of people who want to pretend everything is positive with the Jazz, but this was actually the most sensible post in the thread.

We have a real concern in that our team as currently set up is nothing better than mediocre playoff team. If we sign Hill and Hayward leaves, our team is garbage. If we sign Hayward and Hill leaves, our team is garbage. If we sign both, our team is a mediocre playoff team.

Our last shot is Exum ****ing pulling his head out of his *** and reaching his potential this year, but with Quin constantly yanking him and playing Mack for short term gains, this is also likely to NOT going to happen.

How do you conclude our ceiling as it stands is a mediocre playoff team? Please tell me oh great seer. Too many clowns so sure of their expert opinions, criminy.

I did not mean to click "like" on Magic's latest post (No offense to Magic). I attribute my mistake to the South Texas heat, it's only close to 90 degrees today and it's frickin' November already.

The Jazz are contenders if Favors is healthy. Their defense is unique when both Favors and Gobert are on court.

Otherwise they're a 1st round playoff team.

George Hill has been great for this team & the FO should absolutely attempt to retain him, but there has to be a limit to how far they're willing to go in order to do so. Not to downplay his contribution/impact thus far but he's not a player that you retain at all costs.

He's no doubt an integral part of this roster but to handcuff ourselves financially in the future would be short-sighted, especially considering the important upcoming personnel decisions that will need to be made.

I remain glad that the FO finally committed to a direction but still have serious concerns that we have/will lock ourselves into a 2nd tier team that is consistently in contention but never a true threat to win a championship. Overpaying to retain Hill (maybe as well as even Hayward to a lesser extent) will likely only further that possibility.

As someone previously mentioned, hopefully both will leave some money on the table in order to give this team enough financial resources to retain it's entire core as well as add the necessary piece(s) to become that legitimate championship caliber team.

Should've stayed in Scotland.
