What's new

Following potential 2017 draftees...

Rumor is Hamidou Diallo's latest showing at the National High School Hoops Festival where he won the MVP was much more impressive for scouts and that his J is improved.

This news certainly affects the Jazz as he's probably going to fall to their range.

He might present great value for a team like Utah, especially if his shot is truly improved(which seems legit)

He has a career of missed shots and a single game of made shots.
Proceed with caution.

I've heard that before his growth spurt he was known as a spot up shooter that was really fast and as he grew his shot fell off but apparently it's making a comeback.

I heard you.. I was simply adding that it's one game. Literally two games ago scouts were yawning.
I like the guy... but I have a hard time hyping a single game of shooting.

Here's some footage from the game in question.

Obv Dr. Jones wants him to go to UK to work on his J, I'm undecided and plan on being that way til he makes a move.

If it looks like he can sneak into the 1st I don't mind if he goes for it, certainly couldn't blame him. I'd root for him. He's talented enough to land on his feet

As he ages and continues to bulk up he's going to end up very strong. His physical profile is like Oladipo's but bigger so there's considerable upside with his athletic profile, which is truly phenomenal.

Perhaps this is too simple but how could you not like the idea of putting those types of long uber athletes around Rudy(with the skill players already in place)??

I think those type of athletic upgrades would really add to to the attrition the Jazz already wield and pressure they can apply. They can afford the time to groom players, I really think this is the direction they'll head.

There's a few players I think qualify for this(varying degrees); (leaving top-10 players off the list);
Miles and Mikal Bridges(no relation),
Anunoby,
Adebayo,
Furgeson,
Jarrett Allen,
Rodions Kurucs,
T.J.Leaf,
Lydon,
Jeanne,
Yurtseven,
Hartenstein,
Sumner,
Alkins,
Robert Williams,
Anibogu,
Zach and John Collins (no relation),
Frank Jackson,
Donovann Mitchell,
Diallo,
Ray Spaulding,
Cameron Oliver,
Motley,
Kaba,
Beachem,
Keita-Diop,
Bacon,
Fall,
Mykhailiuk,
Blossomgame(not the biggest fan tho)
Drew Euwbanks,
Shake Milton,
Justin Patton,
Borisa Simanic,
Chimezie Metu,
Donta Hall,
and Viny Okouo would have to be on any imposing physical profile/athlete list too. **** I'll even throw in the '98 born frenchman I posted the other day d'Adam Mokoka.

Good take on my posts. As if what I post here has in impact on his future.
What I stated was fair and logical. No hating.

TJ Leaf is a ridiculously good college player as a frosh. as good as any there has been in a long time. Still not sure what to make of him as an NBA prospect, however. If Ball can shoot, and he has shot lights out so far this season, i think he has to be a top 3 pick, perhaps #1 overall over Fultz.

side note: If you didn't watch the Michigan/UCLA game, take the time to watch the first half, at least. best half of college basketball this year.

That 1st half was crazy, they couldn't miss, I had somewhere to be but showed up late to watch the rest of the 1st. Holiday's brother is one of the most underrated PG's in the land - EASILY.

Leaf has plenty of potential to make serious $$ in the league. Certainly a better prospect than Ryan Anderson was going into his draft.

BTW - Was it you who I was talking to way back about Frank Jackson vs Lonzo Ball and who's the best guard on the west coast??

I didn't call ya a hater, just pointing out that your position is seemingly decided already. super early in the process.

That's legit retarded. I made zero predictions on anything whatsoever. No position at all.
I simply said that scouts have called him an "awful" shooter.. even a "worthless" shooter and that one game of showing a shot doesn't suddenly make him an "improved" shooter. Let's see some stats over at least a 5 game span, imo.

You have some weird takes.
