2016-17 Hype Train Playoff Chase!!!

Last night's games:

Grizz and Thunder lost! That was really big for the Jazz!!! Pelicans also lost, eh whatever.

Warriors, Blazers, Suns and Wolves all won.

Tonight's games:

Clippers @ Magic
Lakers @ Nets
Cavs @ Grizz
Kings @ Rockets
Pistons @ Mavs (lottery)
Thunder @ Jazz

If the bolded teams win then Utah will move into 6th and be 1 game ahead of OKC in 7th, 3 1/2 ahead of the Blazers in 8th and 5 1/2 ahead of the Kings in 9th. They will be behind the 5th place Grizz by 1/2 a game and the Rockets and Clippers (3 and 4) by 2 games.

Could be a massively good night for the Jazz!!!
 
CHOO CHOO ladies, gentlemen and Boris!!!!

Jazz dominated Lessbrook and the OKC Thunkers! 109-89. Jazz now lead the NW and took the6th spot without even a thank you to OKC for keeping it warm.

Grizz, Rockets, Spurs and Clippers also won.

Kings, Lakers and Mavs lost.

I think it is nothing more than bragging rights now. The NBA did away with the guaranteed HCA and seeding for division wins right?

This is a step in the right direction.

The NBA’s Board of Governors unanimously approved a proposal on Tuesday that would have each conference’s playoffs seeded by overall record. Before, each division winner within a conference was guaranteed a 1-4 spot, then the remaining four spots were determined by record. Those days are done.

In September 2015, the NBA announced changes to the method used to determine the format of the 2016 NBA Playoffs. The top eight teams in each conference (East and West), ranked in order by win-loss records, qualify for the playoffs. The tie-break criteria for playoff seeding and home-court advantage have also changed; head-to-head results between the tied teams is the first tie-breaker, and whether a team won its division championship is the second tie-breaker
 
The game this Sunday @ Memphis just got bigger.

Looks like Parson and maybe even Conley will be back for that game. If Conley comes back that could be 6 weeks before schedule.
