They do play tomorrow.
Aha, that makes sense.
They do play tomorrow.
So we're saving Favors for the Raptors game? We conceding to the Warriors again?
Per Locke Favors is out too. Part of his rehab is no B2B's.
Maybe they picked the Kings as the most likely team not to take advantage of him being out of game shape and rythym? That would be my guess. A healthy Favors could be a big asset against the Warriors, one that is not 100% could be a liability.Saving Favors for the Kings game. Not allowed back to backs due to his rehab I guess. So they looked at the two games and picked the Kings as the most likely win.
Right now I have a hard time calling for the Jazz to ever likely be healthy. It's actually a brilliant move, psychologically. The Jazz stand to be the physical and philosophical rival of the Warriors. Withholding their their full lineup when health is a question mark puts off the real contests until later in the season (April 10th) and a possible playoff matchup.
The Spurs pulled a similar move to rest their starters during a nationally televised game against the Heat a few years ago. It bugs a lot of people, but it also places a competitive premium on their actual full-strength meetings.
The added bonus is that if the Jazz win without Favors (and Hill, Burks) then it casts another interesting wrinkle on the next meeting, wherein the Jazz will likely be at full strength.
I agree, any team can beat any other team on any given night. But I still expect the Jazz to win those games. Any game they lose besides tonight is a preventable loss IMO.

the raptors are one of the top 6-7 teams in the league. Foolish to think that's any kind of automatic win.
unles syour a top 4 team!
