He sounds too nice - they should hire Malone to teach him how to be a douche bag on the court.

He is not a center, so Dwight Howard or Bynum, he should not model after. Amar'e Stoudemaire's offense and Kevin Garnett's defense should be his model.

But never under estimate the importance of a mean streak. It can make the difference between a good player and an all-star.

Agree. But I wouldn't mind if he is Tim Duncan or David Robinson type rather than Kevin Garnett or Karl Malone type.

It's great to listen to an interview and say 'wow, this is the kind of player I can really support.'

Hopefully we can surround him with talent as he develops!

Dwight Howard 2.0

Would you people stop it with this comparison? Favors is strong but plays way more of a finesse game than Howard does. Not too say that Favors is only finesse, he does occasionally play with some power, but his playing style is nothing like Howard's. The only thing they have in common is being black, tall, athletic and they're both in the NBA.

At the same age, Howard probably was as finesse as, if not more than, Favors right now. He sure can develop into the type of player Howard is, considering he is only 19. And if he can become that type of player, it would be the most ideal situation for the Jazz.

I'm very excited to see him play next season. If there is a next season. If he works hard and has a good enough head on his shoulders he has all the physical tools to be an absolute force in this league.

I totally agree with this.. I don't think he's tall enough to be a Center (yet). He is strong and has that combination of quickness and explosiveness, he should totally model himself after Amar'e.. If he can be 3/4 of what Amar'e is, Jazz has a very very bright future...

You don't turn down free help from your greatest player of all time. All Malone is waiting for is a phone call.
This team can't get much right this season...
